D I A R Y - E N T R Y - O N E
“Dear Wrestling Diary,
It has been two whole years since the day I managed to convince my dad to train me and finally he has told me I am ready to have a match. Well…actually…not only did he tell me I was ready and but stepmom also let me know about this falls count anywhere scramble that is taking place at Extreme Wrestling Corporation’s ‘Scars and Stripes’ event. I’m so excited about this match but also mentally shitting myself about it. I’m guessing that is natural for somebody who is going to debut real soon. Maybe I should try shooting my first ever promo before starting to pack my things for the journey to Michigan. Yeah, that should help me, might be able to convince my stepmom to help with packing afterwards.
See you soon,
Sabrina”

We find ourselves inside some kind of convenience store. Why are we here? Because of a loud commotion. What is this commotion? It is from the counter has some store manager is looking down upon a girl of blue hair.
“Why won’t you take my money?”
“Because you’re probably hiding something in your outfit-”
The owner points toward the baggy black zipped up hoodie and jeans that this girl is currently wearing.
“-so take that off so we can see if you’re hiding something underneath it.”
For a moment exasperation crosses her youthful face but then the corner of her eye seem to have spotted us. As, for only a moment, a smirk appears on her face before a look of pretend curiosity replaces it.
“So…because I’m sixteen…you think I am some no good thief? Aren’t you discriminating against my age?”
“This has nothing to do with your ag-”
“Then why are you treating me like I’m trying to buy alcohol. You didn't bat an eyelid at the three guys, who look younger than me by the way, who came in and walked straight out with some cans you leave on the shelves. Or is this some kind of harassment? That would explain why you’re solely targeting me and even demanding that I strip…”
She purposely allow that final word to trail out. The manager spots us at this, at least according to the sweat that is now visibly going down his face, as he quickly hands the girl back a plastic bag that has a loaf of bread and milk in it.
“Y-You know what? Let’s forget a-about this. I’ll even let you have your items…free of charge of course.”
“Why thank you-”
She unzips the top of her top, pulls out a vodka bottle and a pretty big bar of chocolate and immediately slip them into the bag.
“-I was getting tired of carrying these by hand.”
The store owner look completely gobsmacked as, capitalising on his shock, the blunette blow him a mocking kiss before leaving the store. Not wanting the manager’s ire we are quick to catch up with the girl who is already nibbling on the chocolate.
“Thanks for helping me back there. That guy was totally getting on my nerves…wait a second…you’re an EWC cameraman, aren’t you?”
We nod and immediately the woman in front of us throws her chocolate in the bag before turning to fully face us.
“Then allow me to introduce myself. My name is Sabrina Agbonlahor and I’ll be making my wrestling debut by winning Scar and Stripes’ falls count anywhere scramble.”
Boldly leaves Sabrina’s lips as she points the end of her right thumb at her chest. Mere moments later Miss Agbonlahor gives us a questioning look.
“What’s wrong? You don’t think I should be debuting in such a match? This match is practically a war, with an unlimited number of entries, that gifts the winner with a guaranteed title opportunity. And, like most wars, a falls count anywhere match can not only take place in multiple places but can also be won practically anywhere, be it where most people are or where there are hardly anybody. So a scramble where anybody - from greats to those not well known - can enter, where anybody can be successfully picked where when everyone else isn’t paying attention and the person who capitalises on such a moment will be rewarded with not only victory but also with a shot of fame…what better way to actually make my debut than to slip my little self in and committing EWC’s greatest heist?”
Confidence oozes from this new Brawl member’s lips as she spoke, the kind that seems unable to comprehend the mere thought of failure. The blunette motions for us to come along and we begin to walk beside the sixteen year old.
“But the best laid plans of mice and men often go awry. And to prevent this I need to not just improve my own strengths but also encounter each problem and make them matter as little as possible. The first problem being those similar to me though, the newcomers and those who are hungry for such a golden opportunity. Unfortunately I don’t have any examples I can think of, other than myself of course, but that is their greatest strength. How can one truly prepare for what he or she does not know? Many can claim that they are ready but no one can ever be fully ready for something they simply don’t know. I won’t waste my time worrying about that however. For, instead of trying to be ready for a fellow newcomer, I’m going to make sure that I am hungrier, sneakier and more willing to do whatever it takes to win than any of them will ever be.”
We now find ourselves at the entrance of a public park. However, deciding against stopping here, the blue haired star enters said park and finds her way to a clean looking bench before sitting down on it and pulling her chocolate back out.
“But the hunger of youth can only take you so far…especially when there are the disgruntled veterans who want all the opportunities for themselves. The best example is the one person I know is in this war…Xavier Reid. The guy who had his shot at Stranglemania, missed said shot and is now trying to hog this opportunity for himself so he can, once again, try and fail against Dominic Sanders. Actually, now I think about it, has he ever manage to defeat him? If not then why should he think he has any chance in this match…”
A moment of irritation twitches into the girl’s voice and, possibly sensing this, she immediately takes a bite out of her snack before continuing.
“If anything Xavier, just like the rest of those so-called veterans, is nothing more than somebody whose ego will always be thirsty but never quenched. And if anybody that I’m going all the way to Ann Arbor just to fall to him, any veteran or anyone else that dares to show up then they are damn well mistaken. This Monday is my going to be my opportunity, not some other newcomer, some person that wants to fail once again to win some gold or even somebody who only returns now and then to make sure people still remember their names, be it Luke Wolfe or even Xplode himself. Mine. Mine and mine alone.”
The same irritation breaks out from her tongue. This time Sabrina had to shake her head to reclaim the haughtily confident tone she had earlier.
“Does that statement sound selfish? My father once said that everyone is selfish in one way or another and wrestling itself often rewards the selfish. Don’t believe me? Then how come the most prestigious Championship in EWC can only be held by one person? Did anyone ever think people like Xplode, Ashton Drake or Dominic Sanders thought about anything else to staying Champion when they were at the top of the mountain? No they didn’t. They only thought about how to keep themselves on top of everybody else.”
After rather dismissively saying her words the blunette shakes her head for a moment before motioning towards the sight in front of her. We turn to see a small area with little children playing on swings, slides and seesaws while nearby the parents are watching carefully from their seats.
“Look at that. See all those children play with others, having their fun and gradually growing ne second at a time. See all those adults watching over them, ensuring they don’t go too far at any second and leading as an example for those children to follow while allowing them to develop their own identities. If anything the EWC roster is somewhat similar to this image. Why? Because the younger, less experienced, members are bouncing off each other and growing as wrestlers each step of the way while the older, more experienced if you will, members watch over the others and make sure they don’t do something possibly stupid. Either examples could happily benefit from turning this upcoming scramble, regardless of which Championship shot is on the line, into their own golden ticket.”
No longer holding the chocolate Sabrina slowly turns us back around to look at her.
“A victory here could help improve the development of a younger member while it could also help a more experienced member lead the rest by example. So yeah, I do get that winning this match could be what turns an almost unknown into a future legend. Yeah, I do get that winning this match could be what reignited an old flame that use to burn deep inside the greats that are already among Brawl and Rampage. And yeah, I do get that somebody like little sixteen year old me - someone who has never wrestled a match before this Monday - should simply be looking to make a good first impression instead of stealing this opportunity from any of them…but-”
The blue haired girl gives off a self-assured smile.
“-I am selfish.”
Sabrina stated before getting up from the bench, turning us back towards the small area and walked away, leaving the last image we see - before we fade to black - being the children having their fun.
