We find ourselves in a small room of some kind. There appears to be lockers around us as the object in the centre of said room is a steel folding chair with the Purple Haired Dynamo sitting on it. She is wearing neither her red military style dress or any form of cosplay. Instead this woman is wearing a pair of jeans and an official FSW t-shirt as she takes a breath before speaking up.
“Not long ago I’ve been given the ever the worst news in my life. That I’m developing a special condition known as cervical spinal stenosis and though I don’t know much about it, from the little I managed to gather on it, I understand that - due to this - I going to unfortunately bring out something that I thought I’d never get to say…”
She looks down at the FSW logo on her plain top before looking back up towards us.
“That, because I want to be there for my family as we grow together, this upcoming episode of Uprising will be when I compete in my very last wrestling match. For seven years I’ve been living my dream of being a professional wrestler and I’ll be lying if I were to say that I ain’t deeply saddened to suddenly have my dream crumble by means that I have no control of. However I’ve shed at least three years worth of blood, sweat and tears is FSW and I’ll be damned if I don’t get give them MY LAST BREATH!”
Passionately explodes from the milky skinned woman’s lips before she leans back and chuckles softly.
“But even if this is the last time, there is none other to go out swinging against than the very best. For while some, like Melody Malone, may think of you like some invader, Stitches, I personally think you’re one of the absolute best here. Hell you’re a multiple time Prime Champion, former Television Champion and even went through a maddening match to be currently holding a Championship not many can ever claim they’ve held. A Championship I made relevant. A Championship I’ll get to say goodbye to this Wednesday.
But you are someone that, unlike others, I’ve been desiring to face ever since you first entered EWC. From the very first day I thought ‘this guy looks like someone who can go somewhere’…and guess what? You proved me right. You’re the first and only person to hold the Prime and FSW Championships. You’ve managed to defeat the likes of El Pablo and Melody Malone, two people I’ll never be better than. And everyday, every single day, you’ve proven to me - over and over again - that I am right. For while people, maybe you included, see you as ‘The Carnival Clown’…I see you as the truest form of warrior. The kind that could rival Xplode and Drake…and, considering that I’m the only person to have fought the both of them at once, me saying that means a lot.
If anything I wish I could’ve faced you when I was in a much better state than the broken clock sitting here right now. But you know what they say about broken clocks? They can be right twice a day. And oh, if anyone is concerned that the scars Stitches has from his ‘Wondercrush’ experience may hinder him against me, here is some breaking news for you…
WE ALL HAVE SCARS!”
With that shout The Emo Princess pushes her right wrist forward to show old marks of what contributes to her nickname before she starts pointing at multiple parts of her body.
“Multiple concussions. Broke my nose three times. Fell through a flaming table. Got thrown off a cage, onto the edge of an announce table that wouldn’t break and then elbow dropped through it. Knocked off numerous ladders. And more that I’d rather not talk about…they were the results of seven years I’ve spent fighting to keep my dream going, just like I’m more than prepared to do against you. So if you’re walking in our fight still hurt then snap…but at least I fought at the first Uprising after Stranglemania.”
The Englishwoman proudly called out as she haughtily pushes her chest out. Well as haughtily as one could before the former FSW Champion clutches her sides and wince in pain. This however doesn’t stop the wounded Brit from continuing after a rough cough.
“However a fight is all good…but winning is completely different as, while you’ve managed to win match after match, I’ve yet to win a match all year. Yes, I’m aware of the elephant in the room. Just like how I’m also aware of the fact that this is my third losing streak in three years. So, understandably, you’ll probably be thinking that this is nothing more than a stroll in the park for you Stitches. But I should let you know something about those streaks…I ended the first by defeating Jeremy Warren while also ending the second by beating Smokey Jones. Why is this important? Rise and shine sunshine, for here is the breaking news. The reason why it is so important is because, at those specific points, the both of them were FSW Champion. Hell it is almost like that Title is my max revive that revitalises in time for a grand performance.
And a grand performance, if not my grandest performance, is what you’re going to be in for this Wednesday. No…the main reason is not to give FSW my best of me, though it is quite a big one by itself. Neither is it to make sure that I can call an end to my career with my head held high, regardless of how much I want to do that in front of the people I’ve happily given years of my life for. Nonono, not at all. So why will I need my grandest performance, my Ultra Necrozma level of performance, against you at Uprising?
The answer is simpler than the question. I have fought battles and waged wars, fighting people from Hatchet Gully and Hope Diamond to Madalena Lockheart and Xavier Reid. I’ve won Rumble in the Bronx years ago and remain the only person, still competing in EWC, to have fought and not lose to Ashton Drake. However, unlike against all of them or every single person I’ve ever fought in my over three hundred match career, I’m going to need the grandest performance I can ever give just so I’ll be able to stand any chance against you, dear ‘Carnival Clown’.”
A pained chuckle weakly departs the milky skinned competitor’s lips as she leans back and closes her eyes in an attempt to relax herself.
“Seven years have gotten me many things…like names. Early on in my career I was referred to as ‘The Perfect Megastar’, last year I was called ‘Miss FSW’ and a few months ago I even dared to call myself ‘The God of FSW’. Some god, heh. And while some would think of me as a child playing games, others would think of me as - to quote Arnold Judas Rimmer - a ‘bitch queen from hell’. And, truth be told, one part of me sees this as the perfect ESL One winning play while the other part of me sees this as the ultimate opportunity to create the kind of show that the gods themselves will be envious of. But…what if…”
She snaps her eyes open.
“The two parts were put together?”
Leaves her lips as the Englishwoman leans forward to give us a more serious look.
“For, you see Stitches, you ain’t going to face the record holder Otaki or the monster Robina Hood. For this Wednesday you are facing Megan Treamon, the person who has turned her life around…the mother providing for her family…and the dreamer who is finally ready to say goodbye. I may be entering our match broken, Stitches, but I swear to every single member of FSW’s past, present and future that this Wednesday, in my very last match, you’re going to get the very best of me.”
Megan sharply declares before sluggishly getting up to her feet, using part of the chair for support before walking past us with a somewhat noticeable limp.,The last thing we see - before fading to black - is the metal folding chair with a single note where Miss Treamon sat, saying:
‘My Grand Finale.’
