act 2
So Courtney Rimes won the triple threat match. I am currently watching Beach Brawl from the sofa of my own home. Why aren’t I at the arena? Why should I be? I’m not booked at all and the other company that I work for is doing a European tour, so I’m basically going to spend a couple of days at home, with my dear Shannon, before taking a plane to Athens. It’s quite weird though, I decided to wrestle here because this is suppose to the where the elite wrestle but what is so elite about vacating a Championship instead of letting somebody beat you for it? Perhaps I’m still I little sore about how Sophie relinquishing the Starlet Championship, thus robbing then number one contender - who happens to be me - of the match she worked so hard to get, instead of actually giving that person their well-deserved shot. Sure Sophie was indeed pregnant but that didn’t stop her from coming out to the ring to, unsuccessfully, defend the Tag Team Titles against Divas of Harlem…which reminds me, what have the Divas of Harlem exactly been up to since winning those belts?
Perhaps my soreness is affecting me but the reason why I chose to even bother watching Beach Brawl, except for seeing my friend Jericho get a match he has spent two whole years fighting for, was because of what that Declan guy said. I never even heard of him before he came out, announced this triple threat match and declared that the winner would face me for the vacant Starlet Championship. Heh, at least somebody has the decency not to rob me of my Title match altogether…but Courtney did look extremely impressive in this match. Sure Angelica Monroe has been an attention-seeking disappointment but she is a former Starlet Champion and, as much as it pains me to admit it, Amber Torres does have a victory over me…yet Rimes end up overcoming the both of them to get her shot. Man, am I even able to handle somebody like her? I’m not so sure…my WEW career is dreadfully inconsistent, from easily beating the likes of Sayge Jemson and Layla without breaking a sweat to struggling with the pathetic likes of Amber Torres and Ashley Salazar, and Courtney seems on a massive roll at the moment.
But how is she on such a roll? Her skill in the ring? I’m not sure about that since I am decently talented yet I’m clearly not good enough to frequently appear on Animosity…hell my last match was probably three weeks ago at the very least. Perhaps she is on a roll because she actually has a character. Maybe that is what I’ve been lacking since the day I debuted…a gimmick, a moniker that stands out on television for one reason or another, like a haughty empress who is named after somebody from English folklore for example. But what gimmick could I have? A stripper? Nah, I’m not sure if Shannon would like that. A cheerleader perhaps? No, pom-poms are way too annoying. A rock star? Hell no, the last thing I want to do is to be anything like that second-rate wrestler Astor Lane. But what should I do? I have no idea or clue on what gimmick I should at least give a go to…damn it! Perhaps I’m just destined to fail…perhaps nobody ever expect much from me, hell that is probably why Sophie chose to vacate the belt instead of facing me.
I’m so confused…maybe I can’t beat Courtney due to my own confusion. For some reason I couldn’t help but bring myself to pull out a laptop, go on YouTube and watch an episode of Teen Titans. Man that show was fun while it lasted…hey, that character…perhaps…no, wait, yeah…perhaps I can make that character. Yes! I think I’ve finally found myself a gimmick and what a time to try it out: in the biggest match of my WEW career. Either I win or I lose, even though I’d prefer the former myself, I am definitely aiming to enjoy this newfound gimmick.

act 2
“Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos.”
Those words were barely hear as the camera began to record this promo. The origin of that voice? None other than one Megan McCrea as she is currently sitting on the grass of some park in Athens. What is the nineteen year old doing in Greek at this very moment? The more relevant question is why is the young Brit sitting in a lotus position with her eyes closed and the back of her hands resting on her knees. Perhaps she could be meditating…actually that is what she is doing, but why is she doing it? To achieve some kind of mental control over her emotions perhaps? Either she is or isn’t Megan is currently wearing a black one-piece, yet tight looking, outfit that doesn’t cover her legs at all while covering her arms all the way to her hands, where the only her fingers aren’t covered by the outfit. The back of the purple haired dynamo couldn’t be well described since she is also wearing a purple cloak with the hood down. However, when the camera zoomed in on the female, she began to speak as if knowing that she is currently being recorded.
“I’m guessing that you’re here because you’re curious about my thoughts on my first WEW Starlet Championship match, right? After ten months of breaking my ass, I finally get a chance to hold the very belt that many people would often say that I’m not good enough for…my last obstacle? A fellow woman who is getting her very first shot at the belt…Courtney Rimes. While I earned my spot into this match by beating one Ashley Salazar a couple of weeks before Legacy, which most people seem to have easily forgotten or ignored, Courtney not only overcame Amber Torres and Angelica Monroe to have her own spot in this match. So obviously, and rather understandably, loads of people are saying that Courtney is going to be the new Starlet Champio…hell, she had a match at Beach Brawl and won it while the last time I appeared on your screens was almost exactly a month ago. Well I’m sorry to disappoint all of those who wants to see Courtney with the belt but here’s some news for them…I’m going to be the one leaving Animosity as the new WEW Starlet Champion, not her.
Sure Courtney has some talent and sure Rimes seem to have sound herself a roll as of late while people like me has been on-off more times than a light switch…but things are different now then what they were a few weeks ago for I have finally come to the realisation that good people always lose. I finally realised that the phase ‘nice guys don’t finish last’ is just a lie created by those who wants to use your kindness and abuse your kindness to further their own careers, to brighten their own stardoms and to deepen the size of their pockets. And guess what? I have had enough.”
The nineteen year old starlet sounds very calm yet also quite emotionless, as well as her facial expression being as equally emotionless, as she spoke out. Halfway through Megan’s words the camera decided to zoom out a little bit to discover that the Emo Princess is actually levitating in this mediation position…how the hell did she manage to do that!?! But when the words ‘I have had enough’ left her lips McCrea’s eyes shot wide open and directed their attention towards the camera lens.
“No disrespect intended, Courtney Rimes, but you’re technically new here so another shot could easily be around the corner for you…that isn’t the case for me. I’m neither stupid or naïve enough to think that another golden opportunity would come to me. Not only is this my golden opportunity to become the new Starlet Champion, but I’m also wise enough to know that this might very well be my only shot at the Starlet Championship. While you’ve probably spent only two or three months in this organisation…I’ve spent the better part of ten to eleven months, of trying my blooming hardest to be a somebody here, to get this one shot. You deserve your win at Beach Brawl, hell I would happily congratulate you on your victory before we get in the ring against each other, but in two nights time you’re going to realise that while people like Amber Torres and Angelica Monroe are good…I’m simply better.
Perhaps I am and tired of playing the good girl…the type of good girl that people could step on and use to further their own careers. So instead I’m going to say no, take this opportunity for my own and dismember anybody and everybody who steps in the way of me getting my hands on the Starlet Championship. This is nothing personal Courtney, since I honestly love how you seem to be so full of life and energy. This is instead me finally having the spine to stand up for myself and stop these worthless idiots from using me as a platform to greatness. So while I have a bit of respect for you Rimes, that respect won’t prohibit me from becoming the Champion that I know I can be. Do you know how it feels to be missing for a month with nobody actually noticing that you were gone? It hurts a lot, Courtney; as a woman who loves to wrestle it hurts a fucking lot to come to the realisation that I literally gave up everything I previously loved only to forgotten like number twos on the charts.”
While saying her words the purpled haired female slowly lowered down to a point where, by the time she was half way through her words, the Englishwoman ended up sitting on the floor before slowly getting herself up to her own feet. Even though she sounded partly upset when saying her final line or two, but this was only partial as, while saying her words beforehand, the purple haired dynamo slowly stood herself up to her feet and dusted herself off. Once she finished her words however Megan’s hands moved back and pulled her hood up, thus covering her eyes and hair yet leaving her mouth and nose exposed to the camera.
“Well no more.”
McCrea said more darkly as her right hand moved back, with her palm pointing in the opposite direction to where the rest of her is facing. Some kind of dark purple vortex immediately appeared here her palm was yet suddenly shot out directly at the camera, consuming the lens with darkness. When the camera regained its focus the recording device suddenly discovered that it was no longer in some park but in some kind of alternate realm where everything around is darkness, the occasional star and some floating pieces of rock. Yet what caught the camera’s attention the most was the nineteen year old Brit as she is currently upside down. It was only when the recording device dared to look up a bit the lens noticed that she was actually standing on a piece of rock six feet above.
“Welcome to my own personal pocket dimension…a realm of solace…of calmness…of tranquillity. It is here that I not only calm myself down but it is also here where I prepare my mind for the task ahead and, dear Courtney, my Starlet Title match against you this Monday is this very task that I am focusing so hard upon that I have been unfortunately neglecting my twitter followers. I may or may not know the importance of this match but I’ve definitely been here long enough to realise that opportunities like these are like the final three letter of yolo…it only lives once. And while in the past I would have desired to possibly maim you, rip you apart or even obliterate you until you’re nothing more than a bloody corpse…but that was back when I was naïve and stupid, now I have matured a bit and, even though it would still be a personal benefit to give you the most excruciating beat down in Animosity history…I am truly seeking nothing more than just a victory over you Courtney Rimes.”
While she calls this ‘pocket dimension’ a realm of not only solace but also of calmness and tranquillity, one thing that Megan McCrea didn’t mention is that she has complete control of this area as, while she spoke, the rock she was standing on was slowly turning over. Once Megan finished saying her words the rock she was standing on placed itself directly next to the rock that the camera was on and when the deranged starlet stepped onto the camera’s rock her own piece of rubble began to float away.
“The reason for me seeking a victory over you must be obvious Courtney for, like many other starlets should, I have a desire to become a Champion and this might be my only chance to truly become a Champion. So if you’re counting on me making a miscalculation or even the slightest of mistakes then you are going to fall flat on your face Rimes. I’m no Amber Torres, neither am I an Angelica Monroe…but who I am is ‘The Dark Magician’ Megan McCrea and I will be damned beyond belief if I leave that fucking arena without that Championship that I actually earned a shot at for the past two months. You are talent, Courtney, and you are truly riding a wave of momentum but this Monday I’m going to vaporise that momentum, beat you in the middle of the ring and leave Animosity as the new WEW Starlet Champion. So prepare yourself for Animosity Courtney Rimes for, respect or not, I’m going to take to the edge of the Skyline.”
Halfway through her words the Dark Magician rose her right hand up, with her palm facing upwards, and a tiny dark purple vortex began to form itself just above her very hand. After saying her final sentence the nineteen year old finally showed the faintest of emotions as she gave the camera the slightest of grins.
“Oh, you think that you’re already ready? Well then…let’s go.”
Moments after the words ‘let’s go’ left her lips Megan blew into the vortex. What happened? The vortex suddenly shot out and consumed the camera, giving this promo the final image of nothing but pure darkness. Who will win at Animosity and become the new Starlet Champion…Megan McCrea, on of the most inconsistent starlets in WEW history? Or Courtney Rimes, the energetic and popular starlet who has been capturing a healthy amount of attention with her performances at both Legacy and Beach Brawl? Tune in for this upcoming episode of Animosity to find out.
