act 1
Only seven odd days to go until Legacy, the supposedly biggest night of WEW’s year and I’ll start the pay-per-view off against five others, three from Adrenaline and two from Animosity, in a TLC match to decide who’ll have the Legacy Cash-In Case…okay the name may need some tweaking but winning that briefcase will grant me a free WEW Title up to the new year so I’ve got nothing serious to complain about. Sure some people aren’t happy about me not only being in this match but also having a shot at Sophie Oliveira’s Starlet Championship but I don’t care…I earned both my shots by beating the likes of Angelica Monroe and Ashley Salazar respectively. I’ve also defeated the likes of Layla and the previous Starlet Champion Astor Lane earlier in the month as well. So they shouldn’t be complaining at all, since I might be finally going, consistently, forward with my career.
Right now I’m sitting on the sofa with my eyes looking above the blank television…why? Because right above it, literally resting on top of it, is a replica of the WEW Championship with my name on it. I’m not fully sure why Shannon bought me it but I guess she’s trying to indicate that, no matter what happens, I’ll always be her Champion. That is actually quite sweet of her…perhaps I should try to get a replica Championship? Possibly to Shannon’s delight I’ve opted to simply be in the most skimpiest red bra I could find with a matching thong. Perhaps I was a naturist in a previous life? Either I am or not I will admit that I was quite amazed to see who I’ll be facing at Legacy.
The first of whom is a two time Universal Champion known as Vantage while another person is a guy who’ve earn Title shot after Title in the form of Kevin Kilbourne. Before the Retribution Rumble I thought both guys were good but after Retribution I can’t help but think they’re amazing. Tom Sykes is a two time Tag Team Champion so he knows how to win big time matches…wait a second…he also won the briefcase of Jazzy in that lumberjack match before losing it straight back to her, I guess that’s what he gets for being so arrogant. Ariel Michaels has also been around for a while as well as being one half of the United Girls of Punk team…so perhaps she’ll be a decent threat. And then the final guy in the match is none other than Jason Church, the guy threw like a rag doll through a table back at Shattered Dreams.
But I really stand a chance against any of these people? Mitch and Kevin are phenomenal in the ring while Jason is a main event waiting to happen. Ariel and Tom might also supply quite a hard battle for me to somehow overcome. How the hell am I suppose to win?…maybe I should sleep on it. So a light yawn escaped my lips as I rolled over, onto my belly, and closed my eyes before drifting off to sleep. This slumber didn’t last that long however as I began to feel something repeatedly landing down upon my rear. It doesn’t genuinely hurt as each swat brought a faint, more pleasant, sting but this is disrupting my peaceful snooze. So after a little while of squirming lightly my eyes slowly opened and I looked over my shoulder to see my girlfriend Shannon with not only a cheeky grin on her face but also with her eyes looking at my mostly exposed bottom.
“Wakey wakey.”
Here eyes moved their gaze towards my face as she teasingly said those words, her hand still lightly swatting away at my bottom as she giggled after saying those two words.
“Well I’m awake-ow!”
I couldn’t even finish my line as a hard smack crashed straight down upon the centre of my butt. Damn that whack stung…and now Shannon is giggling at me as I instantly rolled over and sat up with a, possibly childish, pout on my face.
“Maybe I should do that every time you try to sleep on the sofa…especially if your butt looks so inviting.”
“So you’re suggesting domestic discipline?”
“I don’t think it’ll be classed as discipline if both sides enjoy it.”
Wait, what? Is Shannon suggesting that I like being spanked? Of course I don’t ‘enjoy’ it since it does sting…but I do ‘enjoy’ the feeling of her skin against mine. Man I’m so confused! I can feel my face heating up and my girlfriend seem to enjoy the sight of my blush since she is giggling at this. Damn I need to steer this conversation towards a different direction…fortunately I managed to find one when I noticed the brace wrapped around Shannon’s knee, which has been through surgery only a few days ago, as she sat down next to me.
“Is your knee healing up?”
“Well I’ve managed to sneak up on you so I can walk again…it bloody hurts though.”
“Maybe I should go and get some revenge on the person who caused this…”
“There is no need to get revenge, Megan.”
I guess I can’t help but sound vindictive with me words…since I can be quite protective of my baby girl. However the worried tone in the redhead’s voice drifted my mind away from my girlfriend‘s previous opponent. After saying her words she slowly moved her right hand and gently grabbed hold of my left one as her face edged close to my own.
“Since all I need to recover is your love and company.”
Moments after those words were said Shannon pressed her lips against mine into a kiss. Sure her kiss was a little demanding but I definitely didn’t mind this as I delightfully returned the kiss to her lips. If there is a Kiss of the Year award then I would so nominate this one as, after an uncertain amount of time, our lips departed from each other. Moments after our lips departed from each other my beautiful redhead gave out yet another cheeky looking smile yet before I could voice a question she spoke up.
“Can you get the remote please, the doctor did say that I need to rest my knee as much as possible.”
Bit of a weird request, even though what makes it weirder is that the cheeky smile remained there…is she planning something? Anyway, I guess it won’t to get the…remote……now I see why she has that smile on her face. But instead of complaining I simply sighed, knowing that I shouldn’t make Shannon stand up too much on her knee, and crawl across my girlfriend’s lap because the remote at the far side of the sofa. The squeak was natural when the redhead took this opportunity to pinch my rear yet not even her giggling could stop me from grabbing the remote and suddenly launching myself back to my original sitting position, since I don’t fancy getting pinched twice in the same ten bloody seconds.
“Sorry that I won’t be able to accompany you to Hawaii.”
I was about to hand Shannon the remote but those words caused me to freeze for a moment before sighing lightly.
“I should be the one saying sorry since I won’t be able to give you the company you need for this weekend. But you know what Shannon? Before today I was worried about embarrassing myself at Legacy…but now I don’t care about Vantage, Kevin, Jason, Tom or Ariel…I am going to win the Legacy Cash-In briefcase and tribute my victory to you baby.”
I saw the surprised look in my beautiful redhead’s face when I admitted that I should be saying sorry yet when I declared that I’ll tribute my victory to her, especially when the word ‘baby’ left my lips, I noticed tears beginning to form in her eyes. So I used my spare hand to wipe the tears off her face before placing my lips on hers to give her a soft kiss. Treamon easily replied to my kiss with one of her own. It was short but it was sweet as when our lips departed she accepted the remote I offered her, sat down on my lap and switched on the television to watch The Smurfs. A childish show but Shannon’s inner child makes her so adorable.
act 2
The scene opens up in some kind of dark structure with no doors, windows or even a light bulb as the only source of light inside this dark area is a lone torch held by none other than the number one contender for the Starlet Championship Megan McCrea. This isn’t any battery torch however, inside it is a wooden torch with the top of it being on fire as the nineteen year old Brit turned around to face the recording device with a slight smile on her face.
“Oh hello there…you’re quite lucky aren’t you? If you didn’t find me, and my torch, you would have possibly spent the rest of your life lost in this underground labyrinth.”
An underground labyrinth!?! What is Megan McCrea doing down here!?! With her Legacy debut only three odd days away you would expect the young Starlet to be preparing herself for such the hellacious Legacy Case match. A sweet giggle escaped Megan’s lips before the cameraman could even say a single word. Once the giggle departed her lips the purple haired dynamo spoke up.
“I’m guessing that you’re all wondering what am I doing down here…right? Well what do you think I’m going? I’m mentally preparing myself for the biggest match of my WEW career as I fight against five others in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match for the briefcase that, if I win, would grant me a shot at the WEW Championship for whenever I want until the new year. Is this match going to be quite hard? Of course it fucking is; you have to climb a ladder and take down the briefcase while the other five try to decapitate you. Am I worried about getting injured during this match let alone losing it? Hell no, if anything I’m the only person in this match that has nothing to worry about. So what if I get busted open or even break my arm? I won’t give up, I’ll never surrender, I’ll fight on and I will become the one who leaves Hawaii with the briefcase.
So how is being lost within a labyrinth prepare myself for the most important match at Legacy? When fighting at the grandest show of them all the not so smart people will often let the occasion get to their heads, especially in a type of match where everybody is watching your every movement with anticipation, and fuck something up. By being in this labyrinth not only am I far away from the light but I also have to use my brain to find a way out, thus preparing it to not let any occasion distract it from one goal…victory.”
Nearly halfway through her words the nineteen year old Starlet pointed the torch towards one of the passageways before beginning to walk down that way. Instantly the cameraman began to follow the Emo Princess, not just to record what she is saying but also to not lose the one source of light within this underground structure. The walking continued onwards and onwards until Megan finally stopped, which actually happened at the same time as the word ‘victory’ leaving her lips. The camera looked around the young mother to find out that they’ve arrived at the T-junction of some kind.
“Of course half the people in this match all have competed at Legacy last year so those three might claim that they won’t get the occasion get to them but I’m not so certain about Kevin Kilbourne. At last year’s Legacy that man main evented the first half of the show where he failed to win the World Heavyweight Championship for, in my opinion, feels like the millionth time. Yet now, after getting a rather impressive third place at the Retribution Rumble, he seeks to win the briefcase so he can start to get another million Title shots. I honestly thought that once you failed you would simply work up and bounce back…yet instead Kevin has been given Title shots more often than an American teenager buy drugs. Perhaps Kevin is just desperate to finally win a relevant Championship before finally calling it a day. Do you want to know what I think of that? I could have a million things to say about what I think but, to keep it simple enough for Kevin to understand, I’ll just sum it all up with one word…pitiful.
Yes Kevin, I’ve just classed you and your entire career as pitiful…what are you going to do about it, huh? Lecture me on the good old days where you actually mattered in the wrestling world? Well sorry sunshine but I’d rather spend the next twelve months being a winner than listen to you blab on and on and on. Oh did I possibly your feelings you fossil? Well here is a good piece of advice for you Kevin…cry me a river, build a bridge and get over it because I honestly don’t give a shit about you, your feelings or about that tramp you call a lover. Hell the only thing, about you, that I give a shit about is how busted down, busted open and broken you are by the time I claim my prize.”
While beginning her words Megan placed her right hand, the one that wasn’t holding onto the torch, on the wall and began to rub it…as if getting the dust off to find any clues. The moment the word ‘pitiful’ left her lips Miss McCrea decides to turn around, lean back against the wall and looked directly at the camera while saying her words about the most experienced person in her Legacy Case match. However, the moment after she finished her words, a clunk could be heard and the wall fell backwards onto the floor behind it. The fall caused Megan to squeal in surprise and rather quickly she got back up onto her feet, with a decent sized blush on her face, before suddenly turning around, most likely to hide the blush, and began to walk down this discovered passageway.
“Talking about prizes…isn’t Vantage seeking a prize for being in this match? I mean not only did he pin Chance Rugani, albeit Brian James attacked Chance before the match started, but also came so close in winning the WEW Championship from Chance in a last man standing match, a very match you previously claimed to be king of……wait a god damn second. How can the king of last man standing matches lose two relevant last man standing matches in a row? Everyone already knows about you losing to Rugani but the first time was actually at Legacy of last year where one Alistar Bane beat you for the Universal Championship. Perhaps those two matches is the reason why you want to climb the ladder, reach for the briefcase and pull it down so damn badly…not only to eradicate the defeat you suffered at Legacy but also to have another shot at dear Chance Rugani. Obviously people would want you, if not expect you, to win this match but did anybody think that Jazzy Lynch would win this match last year?
No they didn’t, that victory was both surprising and delighting…and while the former definitely describes you well Mitch, the latter hasn’t been that consistent. Sure you’re won yourself entry into the Revolver match and entered the Retribution Rumble while also taking on Brian James for the Universal Championship in-between those two dates. But what happened? You’ve lost…all three times people either wanted you to win or expected you to win and instead you let them all down. So don’t expect anything to change at Legacy Vantage because while you’re certain to delight everybody in the arena, as well as excite those around the world, you’re just going to end up burning in my light of victory.”
Never once did the Iron Maiden turn around to say her words at the camera but this could be because her blushes never die down as quickly as she wish it would. Realising that Megan isn’t going to look back towards him the cameraman lowered the camera downwards, with the intention of loosening the strain of holding a camera perfectly still in one position, inadvertently giving whoever is watching this video a shot of the young woman’s clothed behind in the process. It was when the female stopped again the camera shot up just in time to catch the young Brit turning around to look directly at the recording device.
“Delighting…exciting…exhilarating…those three words are the complete opposite of one Tom Sykes, the only person in this match to have a successful legacy experience. Sure that victory came in a tag team steel cage match against that loser team known as Armada Latina, who seem to be unable to handle a couple of weak Scousers at the moment, but either way a victory at Legacy is a victory at Legacy…even if twelve odd months later Tom ends up being the most generic heel on Adrenaline, to a point where I can’t help but yawn whenever I see him on television. You want to be a success ‘Superpole King?’ Then be, I don’t know, exciting…burn a house or something. Sure that’s what your former partner Brutus Magnus did but at least he was worth watching while you’re just as pointless as an emergency exit on an airplane.
Hey don’t me wrong Tom, I’m not underestimating you. Hell there is no way I’d ever underestimate a fellow Brit, especially one who is a two time Tag Team Champion. It’s just that you’re so pointless at the moment that you don’t seem…fully committed…to being a star here. And if that is true then I won’t hesitate for a moment to put you out of your damn misery because you are a waste of space, talent and money. You have won at this event last year but instead of focusing your sights on winning this briefcase for a second time…you should be focusing yourself on pure survival since, if you ever bother to watch me, you should know that victory is what I want but the suffering of my opponents is what I thrive for.”
While saying her words the purple haired dynamo decided to try leaning against a wall again but this time she was more cautious with how she rested against it, instead of simply plonking her back against it like before. She never once moved out of position while saying her words, both her boy language and the tone of her voice were embedded with a relaxed aura as she did so. She also nonchalantly faked a yawn after declaring that ‘I can’t help but yawn,’ as if helping to prove her point, before a hint of darkness began to slowly enter her voice with each sentence that left her lips. However this hint of darkness didn’t become anything bigger when she finished speaking about her fellow Brit.
“But who will exactly suffer, huh? I don’t know about anyone else but person I would enjoy hurting is none other than one Jason Church. Why is that? Revenge of course, when within a dark and lonely place the two things that drives anybody onwards are love and hate. It should be obvious who I love but at the same time I hate Jason Church…yes I hate everybody that steps in the ring against me, since I generally hate everyone I meet before I actually get to know them, but I hold a special kind of hatred for you Jason. Why is that dear ‘Devil Within?’ The answer is simpler than the question, you nitwit, for it is two words…Shattered Dreams. The night of my pay-per-view debut I entered the Revolver match undefeated and what happened? You threw me through a table faster than Usain Bolt can run a hundred metres.
Some may call it a reality check but I call it an embarrassment to have my first ever defeat to be by some guy who spent the previous year knocked out on his back. Sure he has improved since then with victories here and there as well as earning a spot in this match but now, this Sunday, in this match of physical torment I finally get to not only have my hands on you but I also get to finally initiate my revenge on you. How am I going to do it? I won’t give any spoilers except for this: you might walk into this match but you won’t be walking out of it…you’ll be carried out of it on a stretcher. Eye for an eye Jason…you cost me my initial undefeated streak so I’m going to cost you not your roll, but your entire fucking career.”
When she began to speak up Megan opted to carefully walk backwards, so her eyes were still on the camera, while keeping her right hand against the wall to make sure she knows when she arrives at a corner. It was also with her first few sentences that the purple haired woman began to sound darker and darker in such a sickening way. To a point that, just halfway through them, her tone began to sound similar to a Nazi at a Jewish concentration camp. The young woman almost shouted out her final few words but the moment they left her lips Megan sighed lightly and let her right hand run through her hair.
“Did I sound menacing or something? Oh it doesn’t matter since there is another reason why I chose to be inside this labyrinth…I’ve always been known for being emotionally unstable so I’ve opted to spend my time down here to stabilise my mind for it is with a clear mind that I can do things to people that would make the viewers wince in pain. I can literally do anything, especially in a match where I can do whatever I want, like ripping Ariel’s hair out from its roots strand by strand…drape her neck across a ladder rung and snapping the ladder shut on it…and even tear the nipple of both the Punk Rock Goddess’ breasts with a table splinter. Oh Ariel Michaels, why do I think of such things to do to you? Do I hate you? Yes I do but not as much as other people. Do I badly want to win this match? I do want to win this match but that isn’t why…so why, Ariel, why? Because it turns my frown…upside down.
Oh you think I won’t be able to do that to you? And you think you can actually win this match? If yes then what the fuck are you smoking because, discounting Tom Sykes, you’re the least favourite to win this match. Sure you might have the backing of Caroline but every time she speaks I swear that she is two fries short of a happy meal. But then again, if you think you’re going to be the victor of this match then you are loopier than she is. Oh yeah, before you ask, no…I am not going to team up with you because we’re the only women in this match, the only I’ll ever willingly team up with is Shannon Treamon. So if I was you Ariel then I would pray to god that my career won’t get ended this Sunday and then make a quick alliance with somebody else since anybody that stands before me……falls before me.”
From relaxingly confident to disturbingly dark to absolutely evil, that is the best way to describe the Iron Maiden’s tone through the promo so far with the ‘absolutely evil’ bit being when she began to say about what she could do to one half of the United Girls of Punk. While saying her words the Emo Princess turned back around and began to walk down the corridor. This walk took a while but the young Brit was saying her words rather quite slowly so at least the cameraman had something to focus on…apart from his sore feet. Once she finished her words Megan stopped deadline in her tracks, turned around and threw the torch down upon the floor.
Obviously the cameraman would be worried about losing the light but Megan simply stepped to the side and leaned back against the wall to reveal to him the right light at the end of the turn…she has successfully brought him to the labyrinth exit. However, when the cameraman tried to walk pass her, the Emo Princess placed her hand on the cameraman’s shoulder and turned him around so the camera could look directly at her face.
“I ain’t an idiot. Even if I sound supremely confident I know that this is going to be my hardest match to date since I’m fighting against some of the best competitors in World Elite Wrestling. I also know that some people think that I’m young and stupid while others think I’m going to throw this match so I can get ready for my future Starlet Championship match…but I don’t care. I don’t about expectations and I don’t mind if the people either love or hate me…for in a few days time, when the bell rings, the only thing that’ll be in my mind is climbing up a ladder, pulling down the briefcase and dedicating my victory to Shannon.”
From sounding evil to sounding slightly modest, the juxtaposition isn’t has big as Jason Church’s nickname but her change of tone could possibly be classed as one. With the light coming from one side half of Megan’s face was covered in blackness yet it didn’t stop her from sounding passionately genuine when saying her last five words before leaning forwards slightly and giving the camera lens a soft kiss. After giving out the kiss the young Brit pushed herself away from the wall and gave out a gentle smile.
“So Ariel, Jason, Kevin, Tom and Vantage…enjoy the experience. For while you all are lost in the dark…I’ll be the one who escapes into the light.”
Her voice sounds potentially threatening yet her smile looks so angelic, this has to be a juxtaposition of some kind as after saying her words Megan smiled even more sweetly before facing the light and walking off towards it. The last image the camera recorded before the cameraman decided to switch off the recording device was of the purple haired dynamo entering the brightness of daylight.
