Scene One: I Suck At Making Rhymes
Time: 12:11 PM 14th Thursday June 2012
“A little birdie told me that I’ll be facing Serenity tomorrow…”
Those words escaped the lips of one raven-haired lady, who happened to be wearing a dull grey vest with light purple tights and matching knee pads. The camera recording her slowly zoomed out after those words were spoken and what the lens saw was that this young woman is sitting on top of a six and a half foot brick wall. Who was this young lady? None other than the rookie of Adrenaline JFP, the same rookie who pinned the Titans Champions Catelyn Vaine in her debut match, but what is the purpose of Judy Phoenix sitting on the wall? What relevance does it have with this promo?
“I, the chick who gave Catelyn Vaine her first ever singles defeat, is going to battle against the number one contender for the Television Championship Serenity. Adrenaline versus Animosity on Anarchy…sounds like fun. But can you give me a fun match Serenity? I hope you can, since you have no excuse on why I’m going to kick your ass. On Adrenaline failed to do what I promised in making Catelyn submit, and I’m sorry about that by the way, so tomorrow I’m just going to make you tap out Serenity. Don’t take offence to this for this have absolutely nothing to do with any personal agendas, its just for good business…since the “JFP Protection Agency” is paid specifically to either protect somebody for a fixed amount of time or to simply take somebody out of action, it would be bad for business if I can’t make some pencil neck lass from Daytona Beach scream like a little bitch.”
The ex-referee seem a bit boastful of her impressive debut…maybe that is what all rookies are like until the moment they taste their first defeat. Yet one thing distinctive is that Judy didn’t sound remotely impressed when she spoke of one Serenity…another possible thing that could be classed as ‘distinctive’ was when Mrs Middley talked about her ‘JFP Protection Agency,’ but who would ever be willing to pay someone as inexperienced as her?
“This match is actually quite amusing if you ask me Serenity; we both are hotly-tipped rookies for what we’ve done so far, me defeating a Champ in my first night and you winning at Legacy…no matter how unimpressive it was. I’m sorry, did you expect me to be fully complimentary about your lucky win I a four way match? How can I honestly be impressed by any of it? You low blowed Saint and pinned some guy he previously had knocked out, not what I call impressive…at all. At least I had the conviction to win by myself and with my own move. Yes, I manipulated the rules into my favour but who wouldn’t if they were in my shoes? I will admit that you were smart in taking advantage but that win was, by far, the polar opposite of an impressive victory.”
While saying her words Judy Phoenix began to softly rock backwards and forwards, also like she is tempting the chance of falling. Maybe the manner of Serenity’s big win is the reason why Judy isn’t totally taking her opponent seriously, either it be truth or lie the young rookie continued to speak shortly after finishing her last line.
“Yes, I am the wife of the man that trained Saint but unlike him I am actually quite smart. So you cannot outsmart me Serenity and, while I don’t know much about the lacklustre women on Animosity, but over here at Adrenaline I am, pound-for-pound, the strongest bitch on the fucking roster. When crossing people like me in the street you shouldn’t give out any funny looks for people like me can break your face up in an instant. Don’t have me mistaken for a monster though, I don’t seek to make you suffer for a form of enjoyment…I seek to make you tap the fuck out so I can get my beer money. Oh god, could you imagine it though? Could you imagine what would happen after I kick your sorry ass? Your so called impressiveness would be crushed, your momentum halted and you would ever so easy pickings for that dude with the Television Title around his waist.”
She spoke these words slightly gleefully, is she thinking about the fame of another big victory? Or is she just thinking about the amount of boozes she’ll have after the match? Either way the raven-haired lady laughed lightly after what she think could happen if the former official somehow defeat the newest rising star on Animosity, a little bit cruel maybe but its highly unlikely that Judy would regret saying any of her words.
“Only my second match and there is one thing extremely amusing about it…the WEW draft…why is that fact amusing Serenity? Because, by the end of the night, we could end up being on the same roster so that I could make you tap out time and time again. Then again, we could stay on respective brands and some of your boring Animosity girls move to Adrenaline…so I’ll probably need to use you as a message to all of them, but what could that message be? Don’t underestimate Judy Phoenix? The competition is tougher here than at Animosity? Nah…the message will be that, no matter who you are, I will make you tap out. Hell, if we swap brands then I could use send that exact message to all of them by simply making you submit to me Serenity. Am I being too confident? Its not confidence when you know that you’re the strongest bitch on Adrenaline.”
From boastful to gleeful to cocky, maybe Judy is truly seeing herself as a future success in WEW…who knows? The only thing that kept the same was that JFP was still swaying back and forth on the top of the wall but once she said all of her words the young scarlet stopped and pulled out an egg, from an unknown location, before playing it down on the wall. The camera lens zoomed back in on the girl, but also kept its attention on the egg, as the young female began to speak up yet again.
“I guess this would be a good time to finish the promo, but before I say goodbye I have a little tweaked nursery rhyme for you Serenity…how does it go again? Oh I remember now…”
While saying her words Judy reached her right hand out to softly grip the eye, causing the camera to zoom in specifically onto that egg.
“Serenity, was standing tall.”
While saying those words JFP slowly moved the egg towards the edge of the wall
“Serenity tapped the fuck out.”
After saying those few words the ex referee pushed the egg over the edge and the camera recorded the egg as it fell and splattered across the floor. What the camera didn’t record however was Judy jumping off the wall and landing on her feet, so the cameraman was quite surprised to see her crouch down next to the egg remains.
“You’ll fall on your face, so here’s a question…”
While her first two lines were flooded with swagger…this one line sounded soft and also gentle like. But after saying that one line Judy grabbed the camera, so it was looking directly at her face, before saying her last few words.
“How will you rebound from losing to me?”
After saying those words Judy chuckled lightly.
“Okay, I suck at making rhymes but tomorrow, Serenity, you will tag…out.”
Once those words were said Judy pulled out a black marker, from one of her two back pockets, and scribbled the letters ‘JFP’ onto the camera lens. Afterwards the raven-haired lady let go of the camera and began to walk away while the cameraman switched the camera off.
Scene Two: Talking With Family
Time: 11:11 AM 15th Friday June 2012
“See, Valentine, this is a wrestling ring that daddy use to wrestle and mommy is going to wrestle in tomorrow.”
The scene opens up in the an empty arena, specifically the arena Adrenaline and Anarchy’s super show shall be taking place in this evening, and what is in the middle of the ring at this very moment is the raven-haired lady commonly known as JFP. But who is this Valentine? None other than Valentine Middley, the sixteen odd month old daughter of Judy and Chris Middley, who happened to be cradled in her mother’s loving arms. “Mommy win…?”
“Yes, mommy will win tomorrow against the big bad Serenity,” she said in response to her young child’s barely said words. “I’ll make beat Serenity and then you, I and your godmother Shannon can have some fun together,” the ex referee said cheerfully to her daughter and tickled Valentine’s belly after saying those words, causing the child to laugh in a high pitch voice.
“Ser-Ser…?” Valentine struggled to say since the only words that she can say, that possess more than one syllable, is like ‘mommy’ and ‘daddy.’ She actually called her godfather ‘Ra-Ra’ before while the only other name she is close to fully saying is ‘Sha-non.’
Mrs Middley instantly who knew who her daughter meant and grinned lightly. “Serenity, Ser-ren-nit-ty, if she isn’t so bad then maybe mommy could get you to meet her.” Judy said comfortingly while rocking her child backwards and forwards before carefully exiting the ring, making sure her child doesn’t get hurt, and walked over to the commentary table before sitting on it. “This is supposedly the best view to get of me making Serenity tap out, I don’t know why…but it doesn’t matter to you Valentine, what matters will be the trip to Disneyland tomorrow,” she said with a smile and Valentine smiled back with the few teeth she has but before Judy could say something else a familiar voice spoke up.
“I don’t know about anyone else but I have view of you right now,” JFP looked over her shoulder to see that the voice that has spoken belonged to Chris Middley, who happened to not only be sitting in one of the commentator seats behind the table but was also eyeing up his wife butt…again.
“And here I thought you would still be asleep,” Judy teased here husband since he was sleeping earlier “move your eyes away, Valentine is with us.”
Valentine looked a bit confused at what her mother just said while Chris simply sighed slightly before standing up, circled around the table and sat down next to the former referee. “Dada,” Valentine said cheerfully while offering her arms out to her dad, so Chris gently took Valentine from Judy’s arms and sat her on his left shoulder while grinning away.
“So how is daddy’s little princess feeling?” he said, getting use to being a father after sixteen hectic months.
“Good-good,” the infant replied cheerfully while trying to bounce up and down on the shoulder of her dad.
“Be careful Valentine,” the raven-haired lady instantly spoke out, since one of the parents had to be the one that’s cautious about their toddler’s health. “Don’t bounce too much, you don’t want to fall and get a boo-boo.”
Chris chuckled at this and smiled in his classically, and almost comical, way “don’t worry too much Judy. Big daddy’s here to make sure little Valentine doesn’t get hurt…or get a boyfriend in sixteen years time.”
“Trust me Chris,” JFP replied while placing her right hand on his left thigh “just by looking into your eyes all potential boyfriends will run to the hills.”
“Hoi cheeky,” the formerly Prince of Fear responded but instantly noticed that Valentine was giggling away on his shoulder. “Hey, don’t side with your mother,” the moment he said that one line Judy cracked up and joined in with her daughter’s laughing, it seem Chris is more ‘paranoid father’ material than he realise. “Hey Judy…” Chris said while taking Valentine off his shoulder and sitting her down on his lap “have you trained for your match against Serenity?”
“You know me Chris,” Mrs Middley replied, mocking an offended expression “I’m always ready for my opponents no matter how big or small they are. Serenity is going to be another woman I’m going to beat…”
“You haven’t trained yet today, haven’t you…”
“…Yes…” Judy Phoenix replied honestly while Valentine was starting to suck her thumb adorably.
“You said you were preparing to take this match seriously…but I guess I can’t have much against you, you’re against Serenity who defeat my student Jericho. So its understandable for you to lose…”
“I won’t lose,” the ex referee replied straight away, accidentally surprising Valentine. “I can beat Serenity, Jericho was stupid enough to make a mistake. I’ll never make a single damn mistake that Serenity could ever capitalise on, I’ve got the brains and the brawns while all she has is an undefeated streak. I’ll make Serenity tap her streak away, so I don’t to train my eyeballs out…I train enough in my submission warfare to make anybody tap and, TV Title contender or not, Serenity is going to have a very long night if that is what it takes for me to defeat her.” Judy spoke out each word directly at Chris, forgetting about their daughter for the moment “why are you doubting me?”
“I’m not doubting you Judy?”
“What? You could have fooled me!”
“I only want to see if you had the conviction to win…so far all my students really lack the conviction to actually win a match, so I wanted to see if you have both the commitment and the conviction to beat anybody. You’ve clearly proven both of these things to me…lets hope you can beat Serenity later in the night.” After saying his words Chris gave Judy a light kiss on her right cheek, which caused JFP to smile lightly.
Mommy win,” Valentine spoke out softly as well, causing Judy to smile even more.
“Yes, mommy win,” she said moments before kissing her child on the forehead. “Make sure she’s asleep when I get home, I prefer to have some fun when I get home from my big victory,” the young scarlet whispered lustfully into her husband ear and he simply nodded, with a grin on his face, before the married couple kissed each other on the lips. Moments after their lips have departed Chris carried Valentine off, possibly to one of his sport cars to take them back to Battle Creek, while JFP simply paced herself in the ring…preparing for a long match perhaps?
