Scene One: Let The Guilt Go
Time: 9:18 PM 7th Sunday August 2011
CMiddley: I thought I could trust them…but I was wrong.
After that voice spoke an official WWH camera went on and instantly began to record what it is seeing. The image it could see was a blue and silver BMW M3 GTR with the ever so familiar Chris Middley leaning his back against it. The “Prince of Fear” is currently wearing black leather pants with matching unzipped leather jacket. The most unusual thing about his appearance was the thing around his waist, that his jacket covered most but not the front of, one of the WWH Tag Team Championships. At the sixteenth of July Middley did the impossible, taking the rookie Justin Connelly out of nowhere and winning the Tag Team Title Gauntlet with him. But all good things must come to an end when last week Chris landed awfully on his ankle, costing his team a match against a misfit team of Rhodes and Cane. Well this time found the “Gatekeeper of Dream and Nightmares” know has been told about a match he’s been booked for when he’ll team with Connelly to faced a masked man and a masked woman. With his right foot heavily taped up, most likely from possibly heavily twisting it, is the male worried about this masked tag team? Hell no he ain’t, this could be told by him not starting the promo with something about either opponent. Yet he continued to speak.
CMiddley: I declared two weeks before Legacy that I’ll be taking a two week holiday afterwards and what happens? They book me in a tag team match the day after my holiday, meaning not was I fully prepared but not even informed of this match up. People state of why I let my partner down, the very same partner that the WWH has already decided to make the star of our team, and my answer right now is that nobody in the WWH had the decency to acknowledge my rest and let me have the damn night off. I will give you, the audience watching this, my word that if Cody Rhodes and Chris Cane ever fought me again I would defeat both men in less then ten minutes. But now onto the unimportant matter known as El Misterioso Dúo.
The way the “Prince of Fear” introduced his opponents clearly told that he doesn’t give a single piece of shit about either masked superstar. Why isn’t he taking this seriously? Is there something going on that’s preoccupying him? Or maybe the “Gatekeeper of Dreams and Nightmares” couldn’t be bothered to think about his opposition. Either these questions are right or wrong Middley continued to speak.
CMiddley: I always thought that the main reason that people even consider wearing masks was because they were afraid. They’re afraid of others exploiting their appearance, they’re afraid of the world around them and they’re afraid of who they are. Such fear. Such reasonless pride. Hide your own identity because truth be told you are just afraid of whoever you may be. An example of someone seeking escapism by covering their own face is this guy calling himself “The Masked Man”…you are so afraid of the world around you that not only do you wear a mask but you name yourself after it. How pathetic…how can you call yourself a man when all you do is wear a mask? Were you bullied at school? Were beaten in a berserk manner by your own family? Were you psychologically tormented? Physically tormented? Emotionally tormented? Or all three? I want to sorry for you, Masked Man, but the last thing you want is someone’s pity. So here is what I’m going to do…I’m going to rip your head off, pull your heart out then stitch the head back on very, very, slowly just so you get to suffer. Maybe there is something you should fear “Masked Man”…and that fear isn’t what has happened to you in the past. That fear is not a thing…it’s a one. You fear “The One Man” who entered death’s house stole what that man wanted. You fear “The One Man” who has gone through hell on earth yet is still here. You fear “The One Man” who willingly tortures himself just to achieve one goal. “The One Man” that you fear is no other then the one talking to you through this camera right now. I’ve been denied my spot in heaven while hell doesn’t want me to take over. I have ended careers and livelihoods. I have been betrayed and I just use that has a weapon some poor innocent bastard. I fear no man, I fear god, I fear no demon and I fear no mask. I’ll say this right now…I am the most deadliest thing you’ll ever, EVER, experience. You now have a reason to fear but begging for mercy is no longer an option.
While speaking his words the “Mythical One” pulled a lighter out of his pocket while walking over to an open metal barrel. Once he got to the barrel he lit the lighter and dropped it in the metal object. The next thing that happened was a fire bursting out of the barrel. This flame caused a smiled to etch itself across the male’s face but his next move was kind of unexpected. From behind the barrel he out a mask, an exact replica of the one that “The Masked Man” uses, with his left hand before thrusting his left hand into the flame. While the fire burned away at his hand, and the mask, the “Modern Messiah” spoke up once more.
CMiddley: You want to dance with the Tag Team Champions? Prepare yourself to get obliterated by the “Prince of Fear”. Prepare yourself to get annihilated by the “Gatekeeper of Dreams and Nightmares”. Prepare yourself to face the wraith of the “Scorned Saviour”.
After saying those words the male laughed manically has his left hand leaves the fire. The hand was obviously burnt but the mask was completely disintegrated. Was this a message to “The Masked Man” by any chance? Or did Chris Middley just felt like doing it? Either way he now pulled out a Styrofoam head from behind the barrel, this head was wearing a replica mask…but it wasn’t of “The Masked Man”, no, it was of the mask that La Belleza Oculta always wear in her matches and everything else that people spot her doing. The “Prince of Fear” began his slow stroll back to his car while the, sometimes deranged, male began to talk to this Styrofoam head has if it was a person.
CMiddley: Hello there Belleza…my name is Chris Middley and I’ve seem to be suffering some things just by seeing a picture of you…just by saying your name…just by hearing your you speak during your promos. You remind me of a certain little Hispanic brat who claims to be a bit psychotic. I use to like that child…but ever since last year I can’t stand her…but hey, she was smart. If I knew how far it would get me I would have a sex change and become Adrian Hart’s whipper girl…but back to you Belleza. Why do you wear a mask? Was it for a some kind of fashion statement in Mexico? Was it because you think you’re ugly? Was it because you’re too ashamed to let god’s green earth know who you truly are? Or was it because you are afraid of world? If the answers to any of these questions are yes then you are horribly mistaken. If anything, wearing a mask just proves to the world how much of a social outcast you picture yourself has. The mask pictures how much of a loner you believe you are. The mask pictures how much of a reject you truly think you are. The mask is hiding your guilt with false beliefs and words you want to hear, but not truthful. So why do lock the guilt away only to live among lies?
Throughout these words the cameraman noticed that each step was accompanied by a slight limp by the male. So, while Middley wasn’t giving him has much attention has the mask, the cameraman lowered the camera lens’ view to the source of the limp. While his right foot was wearing a black wrestling boot, the left was taped up…it could of possibly be injured by the bad landing at last week’s Inner Circle, and possibly worsened by Chris Cane’s “Eight Second Ride”. But after a few moments the guy holding the camera raised it back up quickly, so the “Prince of Fear” wouldn’t of noticed his injury being broadcasted.
CMiddley: Maybe it is written in the stars, a million miles away, that I am the one to reveal to you how wonderful it is to just let the guilt go. Let the guilt, the shame and the misbelief flow to every piece of your body in a controlled manner and you’ll see, no, you’ll witness what I already know. You don’t need the mask but at the same time you don’t need to tear it off, so don’t get me misunderstood. There is no true reason why you should be ashamed Belleza…for a masked woman you possess you own beauty. For a complete enigma you perform greatly and for an athlete, you seem to be…holding yourself back for something bigger then a basic match. But it isn’t you who is holding yourself back, no, your body is limiting itself. Your physical rhythm is trying to stay to just one bland, paint drying, tune. The atmosphere of your aura is dense, withered and restricting. These three things are caused by shame, misbelief and guiltiness…and I think that, with my help, this can change dramatically.
While speaking out his sometimes outspoken words Middley’s stroll was over and was by the side of his vehicle. So he went down to a cross legged sitting position on the floor, with the Styrofoam head on his right lap and his back leaning gently against the car door, before beginning to rock slowly from side to side. Was the “Man of a Thousand Mysteries” slowly seething back into insanity? Foam began to bubble at the “Gatekeeper of Dreams and Nightmare’s” lips yet instead of wiping his mouth once he finished his words the “Modern Messiah” fell down to his right and slowly began to crawl towards the front of his BMW, with the head in his left hand. It was during this crawl that Chris spoke up again, in a sickly tone.
CMiddley: My name is Chris Middley, I am the “Symbol of Reckoning” and though my words I am covertly helping you my child. The shame is meaningless to everything but your misbeliefs so let the shame go and ooze your rhythm to a new beat. All that the false beliefs are doing is giving you a reason to feel a sense of mercy towards EVERYONE you ever step in the ring with, so let the misbeliefs go and thrust the aura to free, creative and belief-defying. And all that the guilt has done is preventing your mind from focusing on one simple task…the guilt is the one thing stopping you from fully obtaining control of your body. Nothing else is stopping you, only the guilt. The same guilt that could possibly stop you from becoming a major star in this company…so I, the “Scorned Saviour”, have one last thing to say specifically to you…
By the time he said “all that the guilt has done” the mentally unstable superstar made it to the front of the car and slowly began to move the head out in front of the front left car tire. After doing this the “Prince of Fear” got up to his knees and say the last few words of what he just spoke. It didn’t take long for Middley to get up to his feet from his position and moments later he opened the door to the driver’s seat and entered the car. The next few moments was just him switching on the car engine and after the engine made its sound the “Scorned Saviour” spoke up for the last time in this promo.
CMiddley: Let the guilt go.
After saying those last four words the BMW drove forwards, crushing the head with Belleza’s replica mask on, before driving out of the parking lot and possibly towards the nearest hotel to the arena. The last thing that the camera lens saw before the feed ended was the words “this promo is over…nothing more, nothing less” written with the remains of a replica WWH Championship.
Scene Two: Great To See You Here Valentine
Time: Ten Odd Minutes Before Tag Match 8th Monday August 2011
Pacing back and forth in his own personal locker room, only a few minutes before his tag team match against the likes of El Misterioso Dúo, is the one and only Chris Middley. He is currently wearing his black leather pants with matching hoodie while both his feet are in black wrestling boots. He was obviously trying to ready his serious yet semi-psychotic mind for this confrontation and so far was succeeding. The male was still limping lightly, knowing now that he isn’t one-hundred percent for this match, but wasn’t willing to take the night off for the people that truly pay his bills, the fans. There was another reason…two BIG reasons why…and they both are at the other side of the knocking door. The “Prince of Fear” stopped his pacing and went to the door before opening. When he saw who it was the “Modern Messiah” smiled. In front of his eyes, in a light blue v-neck with blue denim shorts, is long-time girlfriend Judy Phoenix while in her hands his their child, Valentine Middley. For a seven month old child Valentine already possess some soft hair and innocent blue eyes, just like her mother. Judy carried their daughter into the room and both her and Chris shared a gentle kiss together. Right afterwards the “Gatekeeper of Dream and Nightmares” shut his locker room door before smiling towards his child.
CMiddley: Its great to see you here Valentine…are you sure its alright to have you two back here alone while I wrestle my match?
JFP: Don’t worry too much Chris, I am a strong girl and I don’t think anyone would be malevolent enough to dare kidnap someone else’s child. And just look at her, anyone with a heart wouldn’t cause any form of harm to someone this cute.
CMiddley: Well, you’re right, she is very cute…almost has cute as you.
The two shared another kiss while Chris’ right hand gently stroked Valentine’s hair. This was the very first time that the “Scorned Saviour” has let miss Phoenix enter a wrestling arena since giving birth to Valentine let alone bring the little girl with her. Valentine quietly went to sleep and the couple smiled sweetly towards this, knowing that she will wake up before the male’s match has ended. Judy carefully sat down on the bench, making sure not to disturb the baby’s nap and decided to ask her fifteen month long boyfriend a question.
JFP: Are you sure that it is wise to compete tonight Chris? You admitted that your ankle is hurting you so why not just take the night off?
At that question the “Prince of Fear” chuckled a little bit before deciding to sit down next to his girlfriend. Once he sat down Middley placed his right arm over the shoulders of ex-official and looked into her eyes. He planted a light kiss on her left cheek before answering her question.
CMiddley: Judy, Judy, Judy…I know you’re worried about me and my health but wrestling is all I wanted to do for a long time and getting hurt is just a part of wrestling, just like it is a part of life. Also, if I don’t show I don’t get paid and it is with that money that we can afford the things Valentine needs for a bright future.
JFP: Why did you have to sign a pay as you show contract?
CMiddley: Because they spend to much money on the likes of undeserving talents like Fandango, Copeland and Lucky…
JFP: You know that isn’t true Chris.
Before saying those words miss Phoenix lightly banged her left fist against her boyfriend’s chest, knowing that he was just joking around with her, before the couple chuckled lightly together. The “Mythical One” lightly stroked the female’s cheek with his left hand while speaking the honest truth to her.
CMiddley: Because it was the only type of pay that they were willing to offer me in the contract talks. But I guess it was asking much to get paid the same has The Fizz while having the expiry date being the day after their Wrestlemania of next year.
JFP: But why would you want to have your contract expire by the end of Wrestlemania?
While asking her next question Judy Phoenix snuggled up to her lover and now the male’s left hand was stroking her soft brown hair. But why would the “Prince of Fear” wanted an expiry date so early compared to many others in the World Wrestling Headquarters? Instead of letting her wonder the at times calculating male chose to answer her question straight away and point to one of the World tag team Championships, that was around his waist.
CMiddley: I always wanted to become Champion here Judy and now I am…but instead of feeling fulfilled I feel more empty. No one in this company wishes me luck in my matches or congratulates me when I win them while with fatherhood I think the fun of wrestling week in and week out, like I dreamed of has a little boy, is just...no longer fun...especially when no one will truly what I was willing to go through the past two years just to get this far...
JFP: That is where you are wrong Chris.
Middley was honestly surprised when his girlfriend interrupted him but smiled lightly after hearing the rest of her words.
JFP: Maybe some people are like that Chris, but if it wasn't for the past two year we probably wouldn't even of met and I have appreciated what you have done since I've enjoy every-single-day that we've been together for. And I think Valentine will also appreciate what you've done, not only has a wrestler but also has a father.
CMiddley: Thank you Judy. I'll be back after my match and then we and go out for a nice meal in one of those top quality restaurants nearby, okay?
After saying those words Chris kissed Judy lightly on the lips before standing up. He went to the door, opened it and eited the room before shutting it behind him. The former WWH referee meanwhile cradled Valentine Middley in a gently loving manner.
