WE ARE MAVERICK, WE WON’T GIVE IN UNTIL WE WIN THIS GAME | |
name Honour tagged @aumbra, @figureitout49, @beautifulpsychopath, @cassiewolfe, @sykobitty, @suene & @jeffdeliversmail words 1842 notes My first Megan Treamon promo in like three years. I hope it is a decent enough read. :3 | act 1 ONE! TWO!! THREE!!! The bell rings and I manage to win not only a contract with PRIME but also the right to represent them in a battle royale at Parabellum. Truth be told I thought it’d be much easier. Nothing against Peach but the amount of defeats she has suffered made me think that this was simply going to be an exhibition match where I prove why I deserve a spot among their talented roster. But how come she was so much of a challenge? Have I underestimated Peach Gelato? “…or have I lost my touch?” I couldn’t help but voice out once alone in this private locker room of mine. The advantage of such privacy is that I’m allowed a huge ass mirror so I can check out my body and yeah…there’s a huge ass bruise down the side of my body. So much struggle…and now this sign of wear and tear…I just couldn’t help but wonder… “How long will my body last at Parabellum?” act 2 “It has been three years since I was last here…” Enter our ears as we find ourselves on the beach at Phuket Island. Why are we here? Because in front of us, sitting back on a beach chair with a Nintendo Switch in hand, is the source of those words…Otaki. “The main event of Parabellum, in front of the cheering throngs of Thailand, fighting for a since-deceased brand in the main event…and I was even the one who ended PRIME’s hope of victory. So the fact I found myself back here, this time fighting for PRIME’s glory against three other brands, is an irony not lost to me…” The Purple Haired Dynamo giggles as turns her Switch off and carefully places it down by her side before turning her attention towards us. “Though it is both an irony and a honour to have been chosen out of many other choices, especially considering I barely signed a contract three days ago. Meanwhile the only other PRIME member in this match…Mark Keaton, I believe his name is…has already been here, on and off dare I add, for quite a lengthy while and is branded ‘Remarkable’, be it by his peers or by himself I have no clue. Could it be down to his claim of being ‘The Hero of Canada’? Some drunkard’s claim that he is ‘A Descendant of Zeus’? Or how spiky his hair remains no matter what happens? Like how did it manage to remain so prickly from the way Alya slapped and booted his face in that battle royale on Sunday? All jokes aside though I know that not many can achieve such longevity without some kind of talent. And perhaps his brawling capabilities, combined with his Jolt Cola energy, could contribute to the title of ‘Remarkable’…though with all that energy, brutality and longevity…what has he achieved with it all? Silence is the answer. If people like ‘Remarkable’ Mark Keaton was as good as they claim to be then Jordan Sharpe wouldn’t have gone out of his way to get me in this match and if anyone thinks that I’m going to repay this honour by letting people like Mark use me as a stepping stone…then they are horrifically mistaken.” While her voice did sound somewhat condescending here and there, those last few words were sharply hissed out as a sharpened expression was on Megan’s face for a couple seconds before softening down. “Like how I at first mistaken Cassie Wolfe for the daughter of Luke Wolfe…like Jesus, a second coming of him would be too much for any lifetime to handle…but fortunately I did look up this Rebel Princess. So I won’t be making such a mistake against her this Monday and, truthfully speaking, she does seem quite cool. Arguably the toughest person in the entire match to be honest, as well as someone that I could genuinely see myself enjoy facing, since the passion in her eyes reminds me of the passion that was in my own when I first started back in twenty twelve, before they were tainted. Hell she even refers to herself as a princess… Though unfortunately for this Wolfe I’ll prey on her inexperience and make her know how a Wolf of Icewrack felt against the Anti Mage. I’m sure there are many that could press X for doubt but they might as well call me Zak Crawley this Monday as I provide this Aussie one hundred and eighty nine reasons why she won’t be winning this battle royale. And it’ll be me providing those reasons, not Autumn Raven…the self-proclaimed ‘Beautiful Psychopath’. Jesus, if every single person who claims to be a psychopath were genuine then there’d be more people sectioned than homeless. Am I dismissing Autumn, the person? Yes I am. Is she offended? If so then here is some solid advice for her…get angry. I want her to be the predator who was concussing Phoenix Winterborn at Scars and Stripes, not some limp simp who couldn’t cope with a musical pornstar. Why would I, someone with cervical spinal stenosis, ever want that? Koketsu ni irazunba koji o ezu…if you do not enter the tiger’s cave, you will not catch its cub…and she, along with everyone else in this match, are the tigers while a shot at the AMC Broadcast Championship is the cub I’m after. And I know that, unlike her, I have what it takes to win gold. Why is that? Because while Autumn relies on claims of psychosis like a clutch, one that can be easily kicked away, I know that I am no mere ‘psychopath’… I’m simply someone who is willing to do whatever evil necessary to get what I want.” The Pokeball themed bikini Miss Treamon has chosen to wear does nothing to hide the bruises that have been lingering across the Englishwoman’s snow white flesh from her battle with Peach Gelato a few days ago. Such a factor isn’t lost to the twenty nine year old as one of her hands moves to rub her side before shrugging lightly. “Though I guess that past somewhat makes me at odds with ‘The People’s Paragon’…and, honestly speaking, I wouldn’t blame JRF if he does have a problem with me. Afterall I am, in theory, the antithesis of his ideals. He believes in honourable battle while I believe in winning is winning, he believes in working harder while I believe in working smarter and he believes in purity while I live in reality. Yes it has worked for him before, against both Cassie Wolfe and the pornstar Autumn couldn’t beat, and the strength of his convictions - alongside him being roughly the largest person in this battle royale - could make him a possible favourite… He ain’t no Iron Man and this definitely ain’t no Endgame. Instead he is more similar to Javert…a man so fixated in one mental way, Jaylond’s example being the leading light through compassionate idealism, that the moment that Jean Valjean reveals the flaw in said mindset…he collapses into despair. And, unfortunately for JRF, I’ll be nourishing and benefitting from his despair as I’ll reveal to him that - just like what is needed to win this match - the three things that create the true, not ideal, goodness of humanity are corruption, selfishness and desperation. Desperation is actually a pretty accurate word to describe this occasion. Afterall…practically everyone entering this battle reeks of it. Not that I blame any of my opponents for said desperation as the idea of challenging a Broadcast Champion is something most would desire while there are others who yearn to prove the superiority of their own roster, even with a few of them carving to show off how amazing they specifically are…hell I’m desperate to not only repay the honour Jordan bestowed upon me but also prove to myself that, after three years away, I still got it in the ring. But then you have the case of Alexander Umbra…someone who’s distant past shouldn’t really be worth bringing up…but his recent past is worth noticing. Like how he was originally coming in on a stampede of momentum until he took a Kendrick Kross to the knee and is now at a risk of turning this rising storm into a thundering avalanche if he doesn’t turn it around at Parabellum… But, unfortunately for him, this lady's not for turning.” The Emo Princess allows herself a moment to laugh and moves her hand away from her side so her arms could cross over her chest as she continues with: “Just like how Sally Talfourd wasn’t when Sueñe el Molde tried to take the Apple TV+ Broadcast Championship from her. So considering that he has already failed to defeat her once, it isn’t too much of a surprise that Sueñe would be desperately ravenous to get another chance at her, even if a Rattata is more likely to defeat a Dialga than he is of dethroning The Last Magician. To be fair he was relatively close against her and that more than good enough to be considered an actual threat…and in the right hands desperation can be a good motivator to succeed…if one is determined and dedicated enough to use it. Take Eavan Maloney for example…I once faced her on the fifth of December, twenty seventeen, and she beat me for the Premier Fighting Hardcore Championship. I drove myself to get better so I could have a rematch against her…and she simply took her ball and ran home, robbing me of my chance of payback. I don’t know what reason she had for it, nor how she was barely shorter than me back then but somehow managed to lose like half a foot in height, but in that moment the ‘Sykobitty’ proved to me that she lacks the determination and dedication necessary to be anything more than a third rate duelist with a fourth rate deck of life, let alone win this battle royale. But, unlike her, Sueñe could be both dedicated and determined enough to go the distance and potentially use Parabellum to not only turn himself from a zero to a hero but also catapult himself towards possible glory… If it isn’t for that fact that I’m here at Phuket Island.” With those words Otaki leans forward, her eyes sharpening upon us. “Like I said earlier…it is a honour to have been chosen to represent PRIME in this battle royale, and while everyone else here could have their own reason - good or bad - to desire victory…my reason is to payback the faith that Jordan Sharpe gave me the moment he approached me with a PRIME contract. And I am dedicated, determined and desperate enough to do whatever it takes to pay back that faith with victory this Monday.” Almost coldly leaves the Englishwoman’s lips before she picks her Switch back up, turns it on and leans back to begin playing on it, allowing us to leave so we can escape the burning glare of the blazing sun in the process. |
