Sarah’s asleep, Shannon’s talking with her bandmates…so I’m alone in this peaceful garden to watch Monday Night Brawl from my tablet. Never really bothered to consistently watch said show until Ruthless Aggression came back. And now she’ll get to defend the Television Title in…hm? Why is President Mac coming out at this moment? A match to decide the new Undisputed Champion
‘Representing Future Stars of Wrestling .. The FSW Champion .. Magdalena Lockheart!!’
…what?
For so long I’ve been trying to get FSW some acknowledgement. As equal a chance at a so-called ‘undisputed’ Championship as everyone else. Over and over again I’ve been told I was stupid and that FSW is only ever going to be a ‘development brand’…and now that I’ve given up my fight…when I’m no longer the Champion representing it…he finally gives FSW a thought…
Without giving a moment of thought I move onto Twitter and begin to let my fingers loose
With no control a scream leaves my lips as I raise my tablet up to throw it…but instead I stopped. Nonono…this isn’t worth breaking for Megan. If people want to mess with you so badly…then why should you play nice? Maybe it’s time for me to mess with them.
A smirk etches itself across my face as I slip my tablet away before picking up a rose to fixate my eyes upon. They want to play with us so badly? Then, to quote Bane, let the games begin…
A flash of light and we find ourselves having our backs against a wall of stone bricks, with same walls to our left and right, as in front of us is the Purple Haired Dynamo. Though having her back to us her red military-styled dress makes it obvious that instead of Otaki we are in the presence of Robina Hood as she glances over her left shoulder to see us.
“Welcome back to the Theatre of the Deranged. It’s been a while hasn’t it? Not been seen since Magdalena tried to commit murder on me…clearly she failed though as this coming Sunday we get to be in the ring again. But this time in a form of a tag team match with her partner being her FSW Championship contender Xavier Reid and mine being my Stranglemania opponent Criss Cassidy…”
We try to move but find ourselves unable to as the sound of rattling instead echoes across the room, putting an unexpected halt to Miss Hood’s words. As she gets up from her wooden chair we could see a quill and a sheet of paper, with fresh ink written on it, on top of a wooden table as The Emo Princess turns to fully face us. Instead of saying something straight away Robina steps towards us, grabs the bottom of our face and forces us to look at one of our wrists…to find them chained up!?!
“See those? These are the physical embodiment of trust. To some trust can be helpful, wonderful even…but to others trust could restrict you, paralyse you even. Be it by physical chains or mental chains, it can affect anyone…even you Magdalena Lockheart. Don’t believe me? You think you’re untouchable? I honestly don’t blame you. After all, who else can say that they haven’t been pinned or made to submit for over two hundred and fifty days? No matter the decisions you’ve made to get there, you managed to carve yourself such a great path that you got chosen to represent FSW in arguably the biggest match at this year’s Stranglemania.
Congratulations on that by the way. Such a dazzling night you’re going to have, Maggie…but wouldn't it be a shame if someone…were to do something this upcoming Sunday?
Oh don’t get me wrong Magdalena, you’re one hell of a talent. Talented enough to get on top of the mountain…but it sure is lonely up there, isn’t it? After all, not only did you made the gravest mistake of your young life in attacking me but you also attacked Criss and even drew the ire of Xavier Reid. Yet now you’re going to have to rely on dear Reid against the two you orchestrated a hit and run on. I don’t know about anyone else but I don’t think you’ll be able to run away once the bell rings. But hey, maybe it is noble to walk into the lion’s den and fight to survive.
Survive? Yes, survive. While I will admit to finding it cute that you fight to not lose…it’ll be much more fun to watch as you fight to survive, especially since I personally miss the sound of you screaming in pain from my ‘little gift’…”
Her voice sound very condescending throughout her words yet the moment she mentions a ‘gift’ the demented archer looks away to spray a small blood mist from her mouth, most likely to just give us a show, before looking back at us with smirk.
“I haven’t forgot about you Xavier Reid. How can I? You managed to take me on and defeat me, the person who inspired you to come to FSW in the first place. And for that I owe you an apology…for it what you accused me of…ignorance. On that night I let my ignorance show and treat our scene like a game instead of the masterclass it could’ve been. So I am sorry for my ignorance on that night, thank you for telling me that lesson and I’ll make extra sure to give you my gratitude by becoming the second person to beat you down for the three count in the same amount of FSW episodes.
Not that I may need to try so hard to disrupt you…
After all, wasn’t it you who not only lead the cavalry to my defence against Magdalena last episode but also declared that you were going to make every member of The Future – including the FSW Champion herself – pay at your hands back in Hawaii? Now wouldn’t this match be the golden opportunity for said Champion to get you as softened up as possible? After all, appreciation aside, I won’t hesitate to unleash the most marvellous of decimations upon you this Sunday.
Why so? Could it be out of revenge for the defeat you’ve given me back in Phoenix? Could it be out of bitterness that you have a show at the FSW Championship? Nope…and nope. For I really want to beat you for a more personal reason. I want to defeat you, nonono…I will defeat you this Sunday Xavier Reid, because I want to show you that I am the same person now as the one who ‘set the EWC on fire’…”
Though saying her words with conviction, the milky skinned woman’s eyes aren’t on us at all as her right index finger trails down the chains binding us for a few silent moments before speaking up.
“However a fool I am not. We all have chains, myself included as I am usually one to neither trust anybody or be trustworthy…so all four of us – me, Cassidy, Reid and Lockheart – should be bound by these chains of trust. ‘Should’ being the keyword as there is one thing that sets me apart from the rest, a certain thing that’ll help myself and Cassidy overcome these chains…the same chains that’ll suffocate Xavier and Maggie in Denver…that thing…”
The forest-dweller slows her, arrogant sounding, speech down to reach behind our head and pull out a red rose into our vision before smirking.
“Won’t be mentioned but will instead be seen at Denver Coliseum. For I don’t want any spoilers ruining the image of me standing tall to end this upcoming Scene of Chains.”
Haughtily departs from The Emo Princess’ lips as she drops the rose. We were blinded by the white light but when our vision returns we not only find Robina Hood being nowhere to be seen but also ourselves still chained to the wall behind us as the sound of growling stomachs enter our ears.
