MEETING LILITH SHADOW
Sitting on the sofa in his house, watching replays of himself wrapping the Television Title around Trish Newborn’s waist is the former Television Champion Adrian Jobs. Last week’s Adrenaline was originally main evented by the World Champion Shady Layne but that match was pushed aside for the Television Title match between then Champion Jobs and the challenger Trish Newborn. The overall contest was phenomenal, probably the greatest TV Title match to have ever taken place but in the end Trish hit her best shot and won the Championship…if it was the other way round the Chicago born male would have been Television Champion for exactly two hundred days, a accomplishment not many reigns have reached before. But that defeat cost Adrian a lot more than just his Championship pay…it killed off all the endorsement deals that his agent, Nathan Kyle, desperately tried to hook the male up with…it has made the male unable to sleep comfortably at night…overall it has scarred the mentality of the often cocky individual as this was probably the eighteenth time today that he is watching himself lose a Champion he desperately tried to make relevant.
Two weeks ago his friend with benefits Coco moved out to live with the rest of her band in a big building, officially leaving her old home as Adrian’s new one. But the bearded man doesn’t look exactly cheery about it as he was dressed in nothing more than a pair of scruffy jeans with a stained ‘A Day to Remember’ shirt. He heard something knocking on his door yet didn’t move an inch, personally wanting to be alone, but after a few seconds the door was knocked again. This few seconds then another three knocks continued onwards and onwards until the former Champ had enough. He got up to his feet, stormed over to the door and flung it open, completely prepared to shout at whoever happens to be there but stopped him at the last moment as he saw who this person is.
This person is a dark haired girl of a slim build, wearing smart looking white pants and a matching top that is mostly buttoned up, with a notepad of some kind in her left hand. Before Adrian could ever think of anything to say the female’s right hand grabbed his left hand and shook it before speaking up.
JOBS’ PSYCHOTHERAPIST, LILITH SHADOW
“I’m sure you’ve never seen me before but my name is Lilith Shadow, your agent Mister Kyle hired me to help treat your mental slump.”
Adrian was too dumbfound by the fact a pretty looking woman actually came to him, since throughout his life he had to go out to try - and commonly fail - to get a beautiful woman interested in him, to notice that Lilith as let go of his hand and went past him. She made her way to a chair near the sofa and after finishing her words she sat down on the seat available. Adrian shook his head lightly and closed the door before making his way over to the sofa but instead of getting down on it he looked over to Miss Shadow as he asked a question.
AWESOME! ONE, ADRIAN JOBS
“So you’re a psychotherapist or something?”
After asking his question Jobs went around the sofa and laid himself down across it. Even though given two weeks the male haven’t wrecked the living room at all as the only dirty things are the tattered playboy magazines that pattern around the television. At his question Lilith nodded lightly before speaking out.
JOBS’ PSYCHOTHERAPIST, LILITH SHADOW
“Yes, I guess you can class me as one.”
AWESOME! ONE, ADRIAN JOBS
“Why the hell does Nathan think I need one?”
JOBS’ PSYCHOTHERAPIST, LILITH SHADOW
“Well I can make a list, from the information Mister Kyle have told me, do you want me to tell you Mister Gallahan?”
AWESOME! ONE, ADRIAN JOBS
“Sure, but do me a favour…just call my agent ‘Nathan Kyle,’ the last thing he needs is someone referring him as a superior. Also another thing, never refer me as my surname, just call me Adrian…I never see the point to formality these days.”
JOBS’ PSYCHOTHERAPIST, LILITH SHADOW
“Okay Mi-Adrian, here is the information Mist-Nathan has told me…in your sleep your arms roam all over the place as if you’re desperately looking for something that you might have lost. You’re up and dressed before nine when you would normally be asleep all the way to ten. When at the gym you spend the majority of your time singing some kind of Blue song instead of trying to show off to the women. When at a bar you would spend the entire time buying beer instead of challenging, and losing to, strangers at a game of pool. And he also pointed out that you spend more time watching your glorious failure than playing games online against your fans.”
AWESOME! ONE, ADRIAN JOBS
“What do you mean by ‘glorious failure’?”
The Chicago native was barely able to resist the urge to chuckle when Lilith struggled slightly to drop the formalities, clearly she is from the higher class, but Adrian’s expression began to look shocked in a bad way as Miss Shadow spoke out the list of things that Nathan, Adrian’s best friend, think is wrong with the male. Her words ‘glorious failure’ actually brought a ‘what did you say’ look upon the male’s face as he asked her his question…but before she could make a single response the self-proclaimed AWESOME! One continued to speak.
AWESOME! ONE, ADRIAN JOBS
“One hundred and ninety-five days of my life gone, wasted, almost like it never happened…there is nothing ‘glorious’ about that. ‘Failure’ just by itself suit’s the situation a lot better. I gave up all I am for that Championship and now it is gone. Everything I’ve done for that belt…all the tears I wept when Adriana dumped me…all the sweats I broke in the gym…and all the times I’ve bled for that piece of gold…it’s all gone. Everything I’ve done…worthless…insignificant…purposeless…just like me…”
JOBS’ PSYCHOTHERAPIST, LILITH SHADOW
“That hundred and ninety-five day Television Title reign was your first Championship reign in WEW, isn’t it?”
AWESOME! ONE, ADRIAN JOBS
“It wasn’t just my first WEW Title…it was the first Championship I’ve ever won as a professional wrestler. At the start of August I made my professional wrestling debut and at the start of September I became the Television Champion before breaking that Ryan guy’s streak while, if I didn’t lose to Newborn, I would have reached day two hundred. Hell, three or so Fridays from now could have marked my reign as longer than all the reigns before mine put together.”
JOBS’ PSYCHOTHERAPIST, LILITH SHADOW
“Okay…quite interesting I must admit. I’ve never worked with a professional wrestler before but I think I can a rough prediction of your issue at the moment.”
AWESOME! ONE, ADRIAN JOBS
“So…er, what is it Doc?”
It wasn’t the fact that Adrian called her ‘doc’ that made the young woman giggle but it was the way he almost matched Bugs Bunny’s voice perfectly, while saying that line that caused the therapist to giggle. She looked somewhat adorable when giggling, in Adrian’s view, but after giggling the black haired girl shook her head slightly.
JOBS’ PSYCHOTHERAPIST, LILITH SHADOW
“I would prefer it if you just call me Lilith but here is my prediction…you began without too much of an ambition but almost instantly you became a Champion. From that day forth more and more people actually became interested in you…to a point where not only did they pay more attention to the Television Title match at each pay-per-view but your Title match, last week, was the very main event of Adrenaline. Throughout those hundred and ninety-five days your ego multiplied itself just to hide how paranoid you are about what will happen when someone finally ends your historic reign. You were afraid of being a nobody, letting your subconscious persuade you to think that you are nothing without that very belt. Now that your Championship reign is over you actually think that you’re no longer relevant, another face in the crowd, a nobody…so you choose to hide yourself away because you don’t believe in how great you hype yourself, so much so that you’re literally closing yourself away from the world. Do I happen to be correct Adrian?”
The expression on Adrian’s face was completely bizarre; the only thing readable about it is that he was completely taken by surprise by the psychotherapist’s prediction. After a few seconds of awkward silence, produced by her very question, the female decided to speak up again.
JOBS’ PSYCHOTHERAPIST, LILITH SHADOW
“I’ll take your silence as a potential yes…but I must admit that I didn’t expect to try this on the very first day. The objectives of my very first day were just to simply introduce myself and inform you about your match up this Friday against the former Titans Champion Dolph Ziggler.”
AWESOME! ONE, ADRIAN JOBS
“I already know about my match against Ziggles.”
The instantaneousness of Adrian’s reply actually caught Lilith a little bit off-guard but, without waiting for her acknowledgement of his response, Jobs continued to speak out.
AWESOME! ONE, ADRIAN JOBS
“This Friday I’m supposed to wrestle my first match, since losing my precious Television Championship, against Dolph Ziggler in the sub main event. The last time we were opponents were in a tag team match late last year, my partner being the inconsistent Collin Cole and his being back then the World Champion Ryan Jackson, and guess what happened? I won. I tagged in I put Dolph into the position for my Chicago Bank Job and I hit him with the Chicago Bank Job to get the one, two, three. He might be World Elite Wrestling’s People Champion of twenty-twelve but last time I’ve check I have beaten him fair and square, almost by myself. I remember some people expecting him to leap over me higher than he did back in two thousand and six while other people expected him to score the victory with a single putt…and I’ll personally bake you some cookies if you got and understood those references…but it never happened, instead he failed and I scored another upset. The first or so Adrenaline this year we were tag team partners and everyone expected him, as the Titans Champion back then, to carry our team off to victory…guess what happened? He failed but not just a typical fail, an EPIC fail where he wasn’t even beaten by Eric but instead was pinned that Angelina Jolie wannabe.”
JOBS’ PSYCHOTHERAPIST, LILITH SHADOW
“Who does this ‘Angelina Jolie wannabe’ happen to be?”
AWESOME! ONE, ADRIAN JOBS
“That is the point, Lilith, I kicked her ass at Cyberslam and no one has heard from her since. Then on the interactive edition of Adrenaline, which happens to take place before Cyberslam, he loses that Title to some bozo ‘Eric McKay.’ Hell that typical blonde then took a personal leave of absence to improve himself and he returned two weeks ago to cost Eric McKay his main event match against Shady Layne…only for him, as seen on last week’s Adrenaline, to have Eric cost him his SUB main event match against Shady Layne. Dolph wants to be here to show the world? Well, on the night of his return, he did show the world something…he showed them all how truly crap he is. People around here can say that my reign was a joke but last time I’ve checked Ziggler’s only time as a Champion that mattered lasted under TWO HOURS. And no, you are not mistaken, I don’t value the Titans Championship that highly anymore…I use to when I first came here but not anymore since, like Rhiannon, his entire division happens to be DEAD. Fortunately Eric came in to give it a few more weeks of survival but frankly Dolph…he can call yourself ‘Perfection’ all he like…he can shine a Whiteman’s balls all he like…and he can use a pair of pom-poms all he like, that won’t mean a damn thing because I’m going to kick his ass in A LOT less time than it took him to lose his meaningless Title. Yes I’ve heard people say that he is the future while I’ve also hear them state how awful both my fashion sense and my beard are…well at least I don’t turn myself from a toy boy into somebody who makes out with a brat in a training bra.”
Throughout his words Miss Shadow kept the notepad close to herself, clearly taking notes down about Adrian’s behaviour throughout his words. After hearing his last few words a slight chuck left the female’s lips, her right hand moving over her breasts, she was self-consciously checking if they are small or not, mentally relieved that Jobs was too busy talking to notice this slightly embarrassing action.
AWESOME! ONE, ADRIAN JOBS
“I am no idiot…I know Dolph is very talented but frankly so was Jiggle-Tits and what happened? I beat her, like I defeated Ziggles’ buddy Ryan Jackson twice in tag team matches…hell, I was the guy who nominated him and Jackson as twenty-twelve’s couple of the year. Yet you know what Dolph did? Nothing you want to know why Lilith? Because he knows that tag team victory over him was no fluke. He use to call himself perfection yet I am Rated: AWESOME and I kicked his ass in under thirty seconds of being in the ring. I know deep down that Ziggler wants to beat me so badly so his return doesn’t look too much of a botch up yet I also know that, deep down, he KNOWS that I can beat him…again.”
JOBS’ PSYCHOTHERAPIST, LILITH SHADOW
“But even though he has been in a bit of a slump, Dolph’s odds are even with your own. Aren’t you at all about the fact that there is no clear favourite?”
AWESOME! ONE, ADRIAN JOBS
“Why should I be Lilith? I’ve been use to being the ‘overdog’ for the last ninety days of my AWESOME reign and, even though he doesn’t have what people call a great twenty-thirteen so far…his twenty-twelve was probably the second or third best in Adrenaline’s history. So it more than understandable why people would rate either me or him quite highly. He has the motivation of correcting a wrong on his side while I have to personally prove something to myself. Perhaps you are Lilith…maybe, during my maiden Title reign, I was terrified about what I could end up being without that Champion. Perhaps I have been trying to prepare myself for the time I would need step out from a division, that I help make important, and become ‘The Main Event’ that I’ve always called myself but…well….thanks to the well deserving Trish Newborn…that time came sooner than I expected. So this Adrenaline it is time for me, the Rated: AWESOME Superstar Adrian Jobs to step up, take the best Adrenaline has to offer and chew them up on the way to the place where I TRULY belong. Dolph Ziggler is amazingly talented and last week he almost defeated the World Champ, but this week he is just going to defeated again. He might be sick of being so damn sick but I’m not just going to defeat him…I’m going to show the world how undeniably, indisputably and unquestionably AWESOME I am.”
While asking her question the female, who appears to be in her early twenties, actually placed the notepad down on her lap, possibly more interested in the male’s words since she have taken a decent amount of notes already, before beginning to attentively listen to the male’s answer. Adrian didn’t notice but he seem to be sounding more confident and assured than he appeared to be at the very start of this, well, interviewing therapy thing. A small smirk appeared on Miss Shadow’s face when Jobs admitted that her prediction could be possibly right but was quite surprised to hear him speak out with some detail about it, personally starting to feel pleased to have agreed to become Adrian’s psychotherapist. Even hearing his shouts before, the ‘awesome’ shouts the Chicago superstar made seem to be at a volume that she isn’t fully use to as part of her was mentally wishing that this guy had a mute button somewhere. But after his last ‘awesome’ shout Adrian sprung up from the sofa, grabbed the remote and switched off the television, which have been constantly replaying that heart wrenching experience throughout all that have happened, before shooting one of his classic smiles. It wasn’t as overbearingly cocky as the ones he shot as a Champion but it was as sweetly confident as when he first debuted and something about it made the female smile lightly back top him as he offered his hand out to her.
AWESOME! ONE, ADRIAN JOBS
“Thank you for helping me Lilith.”
JOBS’ PSYCHOTHERAPIST, LILITH SHADOW
“You’re welcome Adrian.”
Miss Shadow replied while accepting his hand with her right hand while holding onto the notepad with her left. The male easily helped the female up to her feet before the two began to make their way towards the door.
AWESOME! ONE, ADRIAN JOBS
“Why not we go out and have a beer together? Or is that too ‘low class’ for you Miss Shadow?”
JOBS’ PSYCHOTHERAPIST, LILITH SHADOW
“I wouldn’t mind having an excursion with you, even if it is down to a ‘pub,’ but I have the rest of my day booked. If you like we could possibly visit you again tomorrow.”
AWESOME! ONE, ADRIAN JOBS
“Heh, can’t blame a guy a for trying…but yeah, you can visit tomorrow, it’ll give me time to clean up a bit. I’m guessing you want to meet at three in the afternoon or something.”
While having this light conversation the two made their way to the door and the Chicago born star opened the door for the lady, being a bit of a gentleman, but after hearing his ‘three in the afternoon’ suggestion the female shook her head lightly as she took a couple of steps outside.
JOBS’ PSYCHOTHERAPIST, LILITH SHADOW
“Nope, I prefer to come around at half nine.”
AWESOME! ONE, ADRIAN JOBS
“Half nine? Isn’t the whole ‘waking up before ten’ thing classed as a problem?”
JOBS’ PSYCHOTHERAPIST, LILITH SHADOW
“Nathan thinks it is but I think that waking up sooner is better than wasting your morning in a bed.”
AWESOME! ONE, ADRIAN JOBS
“I guess that’s true.”
While the male laughed loudly at their little discussion Lilith chuckled quietly again in an almost nervously cute way. After the two had their chuckle they waved each other goodbye before Miss Shadow went off, most likely to wherever her may be to look at what notes she have taken. Meanwhile Adrian went to the kitchen and pulled a can of beer out of the fridge before shaking his head lightly.
AWESOME! ONE, ADRIAN JOBS
“Nah…my path of improvement starts today.”
After saying those few words ‘The Main Event’ put the beer back into the fridge before pulling out a can of red bull.
AWESOME! ONE, ADRIAN JOBS
“I’m bound to need this to cope with the amount of noobs on Call of Duty these days.”
Once he said those words Adrian closed the fridge door before going upstairs into his own bedroom, where he leaves all his game consoles these days.
