The location is a certain Evolve rookie’s quarters, where she can sleep and get changed, while the current time at this moment is quarter past eleven in the morning. There aren’t much things in the girl’s quarters; a wardrobe, a bed big enough for two, a locker, a desk and a window shining some light onto the blanket on the bed. The light caused the blanket to squirm left and right until the object threw itself down on it’s lower half. Now it has revealed the person sleeping under this blanket, current Evolve rookie Naomi Knight. The African American female groggily got out of bed while wearing her light blue pyjamas and as her left hands rubbed her eyes lightly, her right grabbed the alarm clock that on her desk. The expression on the tired girl’s face could tell that she wasn’t sure why her alarm didn’t go off…until the protégée spotted that she has forgotten to set it in the first place. Now Naomi stretched her arms out, yawning lightly at the same time, before slowly strolling to the wardrobe. It might of took the groggy girl almost half a hour but she managed to get changed from her pyjamas to very tight pink pants and black tank top, clothing that is similar to her time in WWE nXt. She personally requested an interview at what some call ten-hundred hours, so the female knew she only has quarter of a hour to get there. So the protégée neatened her bed before exiting her room; once she did that the rookie went off towards the cafeteria, knowing that she’ll meet her interviewer there. And indeed she met him, in his black suit and formal pants with a cameraman by his side, he is the one and only Todd Grisham. Todd spotted the rookie and they had some friendly chit chat before Naomi stood at the male’s side and the cameraman got in front of the two before signalling that they can start the interview, since the camera is now recording.
Todd Grisham: Hello everyone, my name is Todd Grisham and with me at the moment is one of the seven rookies that will be competing in the all female’s edition of Evolve season two. So here’s my guest, Naomi Knight.
Now the camera lens zoomed out, showing both Grisham and Knight to the production lot that will be watching this footage later today, and with a smile on her face Naomi spoke.
“Night-Mare” Naomi: Thanks for having me Todd.
Todd Grisham: You’re welcome Naomi, now before I forget, tonight you shall not only be competing against one but two protégées tonight in the form of MsChif and Rima Fakih. Now clearly all three of you have your own style and experience of wrestling so this could be a potentially great match…but what do you think of your opponents?
“Night-Mare” Naomi: What do I think of my opponents…you know what? I’ll start with my thoughts on MsChif. From what I understand MsChif has been the longest reigning Champion of the all women’s company “Shimmer” while her physical flexibility makes her the greatest female wrestler on the independent circuit. But there is a huge different between independent and mainstream wrestling…your actions are broadcasted across the entire world for all the fans to see. I have nothing against MsChif but I see her has a person who can be better then anyone else to get to one thing but when it the thing comes, she’ll blow it big time…almost like England are at soccer. And in my view MsChif is not fully ready yet for the big change from the independent to the mainstream. Obviously she is brilliant wrestling when not too many people are watching…but when the millions are all watching her, you can bet your own house on her collapsing under the pressure of expectation. Luckily for me, I have a little bit of experience on mainstream wrestling and I’ll definitely use this experience to outdo MsChif. But I shall admit that what she has done in the independent circuit amazes me…she have pinned Kia Stevens, she holds the record for the longest reigning Shimmer World Champion and was part of the incredibly popular independent group known as Age of The Fall, it shortened to AoTF. But in this match she won’t have any Tyler Black, any Lacey, any Joey Mercury, any Necro Butcher or any Jimmy Jacobs to help in this match against me and Miss USA. Yet, MsChif could already know this and is possibly planning three different game plans to win this match since she has miles more in-ring experience then me and Rima put together. But even if that is the case there is no possible reason to underestimate either me or Fakih…Rima has been trained by Steve Austin, Booker Huffman and Trish Stratus while I know what it takes to win and how to get all the way to the finals of this kind of tournament. And like you said, Todd, all three of us have our own style and experience of wrestling so I don’t expect anyone to obtain a dominating victory nor a match with no winners…but I do expect the greatest show of skill to open up season two of the Real Wrestling League’s Evolve and no offence to MsChif, since she’s a bloody good competitor, but with my multiple skills I think that out of us I’ll be the one who shall stand tall. So if you’re watching this, MsChif, then here is a message just for you…no matter how hard, strong and determined you are…I will beat you and prove why I can be such a “Nightmare.”
Todd Grisham: Quite confident words they are Naomi, but what do you think of the current Miss USA Rima Fakih?
“Night-Mare” Naomi: I guess that my confrontation with Melina earlier in the week can be the reason for my increased confidence, which is a good thing. But about Rima…what can I say about her? There is very little I know about Fakih. One of the very few things I know about her is that she is Miss USA, which I’m sorry if I sound slightly racist but I honestly thought you have be to born in America to be Miss USA, not Lebanon. One of the other things is that she is like the forth or fifth person to leave the two-thousand-and-eleven WWE Tough Enough since Steve said that she just simply doesn’t have what it takes to become a wrestler. I shall admit that I felt sorry for Rima when I watched that episode of Tough Enough but after so many years hardly anyone could argue with Austin’s decision, well hardly anyone without getting a classic Stone Cold Stunner…but anyway, I really hope that she does very well in this tournament and hell, if I could chose who would be in the finals with me it would be her. But the finals is a good month or four away while our first confrontation is later tonight in the triple threat match involving MsChif, who’s in-ring experience ellipses both of ours even if it was put together. So I’ll finally see first hand at what Rima is fully capable of and if she can take it as much as dish it out. But then again, the aura of mystery that clouds over Fakih could make her a favourite as there is no possible way to fully prepare for someone who has not even her own in-ring debut yet. But instead of worrying too much or too little I’ll turn this detriment into an asset with three letters…P.E.P…pressure…expectation…performance. Those three letters are also going out to MsChif. The first P being the pressure of actually wrestling on a broadcasted episode of a world wide mainstream wrestling show for the first time. The E being the expectation that the fellow rookies backstage, her mentor at ringside, the members of the board watching from their headquarters and the fans in attendance will have towards you. And then the second P…it stands for the performance that she’ll give out during our triple threat match and how would the fans and everyone backstage think of it…will they accept it with open arms and a smile on their face? Or will they slate her openly and say that she sucks and should of stayed as a model instead of trying to become a wrestler? Now that you both understand these letters I’ll admit why I am nowhere near worried about them…from my time in the WWE I learned how to handle pressure of being broadcasted to millions. From being deemed “robbed” of nXt season five by Kaitlyn, which I ain’t saying is true or false, I know that I can achieve my own expectation of winning this season and defeating Melina for the Women’s Television Championship. And from my past experience has a cheerleader, I am almost like the embodiment of performance but I would never go as far as stating it is ether true or false. So, if you’re watching this match as well Rima…I wish you luck against this “Nightmare.”
Todd Grisham: So you think you can win this match?
“Night-Mare” Naomi: Todd, no offense to anyone who ever walk into the squared circle but if you don't believe you can win then there is no point in even becoming a wrestler, enough said.
Todd Grisham: Okay then...next question, what do you think of your mentor Chuck Taylor?
“Night-Mare” Naomi: Chuck Taylor? I honestly think he's a kind person, I admit that he acts less then half his age at times but its that factor that makes him cute...
Todd Grisham: So do you really like him?
That question brought a light blush to the rookie's face but she managed to speak out to the interviewer.
“Night-Mare” Naomi: N-N-No, he's just my mentor and I'm his rookie, nothing more...what do people have a boy and a girl being friend?
“Night-Mare” Naomi (Thoughts): Are we just friends? Is Todd right?
Todd Grisham: Anyway, we are offically out of time with this interview...thank you for your time Naomi. And we wish you luck with your match tonight against MsChif and Rima Fakih.
Knight instantly snapped out of her thoughts once Todd said his last few words and nodded.
“Night-Mare” Naomi: Thank you for having me.
After saying that the rookie walked off, towards her quarters, while the interviewer said his words about tonight's show. Yet the thought is still in the girl's mind.
“Night-Mare” Naomi (Thoughts): We are just friends, aren't we?
While thinking those word repeatedly Naomi made it to her quarters and entered the room she forgot to shut the door for eariler, now shutting it behind her.
