We're in the middle of it...
middle of it...
everywhere...
GO!
As soon as those words echoed into the arena “In the Middle of It Now” by Disciple began to blast its way through the PA System. The audience knew who this person is and those who like him cheered loudly as soon as “GO!” got heard…and that one that don’t, simply booed him as Curt Hawkins appeared on the stage. The male is wearing a black hoodie, with the hood up, and matching leather pants while also having black wrestling boots on. He didn’t seemed bothered much about the cheers and boos, or the quality of the matches earlier in the night, as the male began to walk down the ramp-way. In his mouth was a lit cigarette and in his right hand is a leather belt. This belt might be known for the two previous main events…first the male ended a Brit’s career with it then last week he screwed Jimmy Jacobs with the same piece of leather. Now Curt was by the steel steps and took the cigarette out of his mouth before placing it on the steps…he then stepped on it and crushed it until the cigarette was smoking no more. After doing that Hawkins spotted a child in the front row and muffled the child’s hair, giving the youngster compliments, before walking away from the steps. He went straight to the ring announcer and snatched the microphone out of the person’s hands before rolling under the bottom rope, into the ring. As soon as he stood up Curt took off his hood before leaning his chest against the ropes, with his arms spread out.
After he did that the male went to one of the top turnbuckles and sat on it before beginning to speak into the microphone, which was in his left hand.
Curt Hawkins: The name’s Curt Hawkins and I’m the Rogue Protégée. My last mentor screwed me and I ended him with this…
Once he said that Curt raised up his right hand, showing off a leather belt. He let the audience look at it for a few seconds before resting it on the top rope. The male began to speak up once more.
Curt Hawkins: And my current mentor has given up on me…not that he is any good. I mean, all Shark Boy will ever be is a shitty Steve Austin imitation. Maybe that is the reason that the people at the back has allowed the use of my theme, instead of Goldfish-Man’s theme. But back to what’s going on now. In a short while Jimmy Jacobs will sprint down that ramp-way. He will accept his right hand being strapped to mine. The bell will ring. Then me and him battle to a point of no return…and the only way to win is by pin fall or submission. Meaning no count outs and no disqualifications…so there will be no repeat of me getting unjustly screwed. It also means that me and that “Emo Warrior” finally gets the chance to do the horrible stuff that we so desperately wanted to do to each other…with no one stopping us.
As soon as he finished speaking the fans screamed in delight, while the mixed reactions became even louder. Just then Curt ran his right hand through his hair before continuing to talk into the microphone.
Curt Hawkins: There is also another stipulation…I’m guessing that the Real Wrestling League are afraid of losing control like they did on the last episode of Evolve…because the loser will not only lose their undefeated streak…but also be booted out of the Evolve contest. And from what the ratings say…me and Jimmy are the top two of this fool’s competition. So the best that Evolve could offer are going toe-to-toe, for maybe the last time, in an attempt to end the other’s evolution. Last week we lost the hopeless Joy Giovanni and tonight we’ll lose another…but is it me or you Jimmy? Is it me or you? Is! It! Me! Or! Moth! Er! Fuck! Ing! You!?!
The fans were building themselves up with cheers and boos while Hawkins continued to shouted those last few words into the microphone. Curt seemed to be building himself up higher and higher, as if this was his last ever performance here for the audience. Before the fans could expect the music of Jacobs’ mentor the male on the turnbuckle spoke up once more.
Curt Hawkins: Before I stop talking…I want to point something out about the word “Evolve”. Evolve is short for “Evolution” and “Evolution” creates the strong and the mighty. But with “Evolution” there are three types of people…those who evolve…those who evolution leaves behind…and those that were the mistakes of evolution…when you look at me what do you see? I don’t see a boy. I don’t see a man. I don’t see a male. I don’t see a human being. I see a vile creature. I see a monster that should never of existed. I see myself as the MISTAKE that evolution created! And after this match, Jimmy, you shall be the one that evolution leaves behind.
The fans weren’t sure of Curt was being in key-fable or was speaking what is on his mind yet they continue to give out their mixed response as the male continue to speak.
Curt Hawkins: In this match Jimmy…only one can truly win…only one can truly remain undefeated…only one can truly remain on the “Evolve” roster. This match does not involve tables, ladders and chairs. This match does not involve law, order or the security. This match however involves a referee, a strap and us massacring each other. But you know Jimmy…I know that I can outlast you…I know that I can end your career in this match…I know that I can press my foot on your throat like I do to my cigarettes…and I know that I have a fifty-fifty chance of losing to you Jimmy. Maybe the mistake should be left for dead by evolution. But even if this becomes the last time any of you see Curt Hawkins on your televisions…just know this. Curt Hawkins’ career lived his own ways and Curt Hawkins’ career will die living its own ways. Even if this is the last time you see these abyssal black eyes on your television screens…I’m not leaving Relentless without a fight and if I leave Relentless…I’ll leave the way I came in…With. A. Bang.
Hawkins seemed to have won over the audience as they were now cheering for the male and chanted his name. A light tear appeared on Curt’s face and he quickly wiped it off before speaking one last time into the microphone.
Curt Hawkins: Come on out Jimmy Jacobs…lets have the match that steals the show. Either I win or I lose…I’ll offer my hand out for a sportsman’s handshake. And either I win or I lose, I have a message for everyone. A message for my fellow Evolve Protégées…a message for my current mentor…a message for the Relentless locker room…a message to the bigwigs of the Real Wrestling League…a message for all you fans…and a message to my only friend here, Melina Perez…remember the name, Curt Hawkins.
While speaking his last line another tear on the mentally unstable protégée and the audience continued to cheer for him. Curt then got off the top turnbuckle and placed the microphone under the bottom turnbuckle, preparing himself for this ultimate test of wrestling quality.
