“If” I Win…“If”!?!
Time: 4:13 PM 6th Sunday February 2011
Things just haven't been going his way these days, hasn’t it? Alberto Del Rio lost to Matt Morgan at Slammiversary to crown the first ever Prime Time Champion. The male's relationship with his uncle has crumbled because of a clash of egos (since Mil Mascaras is like Mexico's version of Hogan). Both his announcer and bodyguard are having personality clashes. And just recently some AJ Styles These are real stressful times for Alberto Del Rio yet the Mexican knows that he needs a cool head for the upcoming match as he teams up with the debuting Dolph Ziggler to battle AJ Styles, who is also making his televised debut, and this “asshole” known as Mr Anderson. The cool head would especially be helpful since by winning this match Alberto Del Rio could put himself back in the Prime Time Title picture...or even a potential shot at the Samoa Joe’s World Heavyweight Championship at Ground Zero. The male Hispanic is currently in the male’s public locker room while wearing a black tuxedo with matching pants and formal shoes. He is also currently waiting for Matt Striker, one of the Vendetta’s interviewers, and ran his hand over his hair.
Alberto Del Rio (Thoughts): What is going on Alberto!?! Failure is not acceptable…especially when I deserved that Championship the brain-dead Matt Morgan is currently holding. How could this kid called “Styles” be able to defeat me!?! And why the hell can’t Ricardo and Vladimir get along!?! Its almost like this was meant to happen…I need to win this match on Vendetta…Alberto Del Rio is no Brooklyn Brawler! But where the hell is that Matt Striker?
After a few more minutes, pacing back and forth in the locker room, the door began to knock. Alberto opened the door only to see his bodyguard, Vladimir Kozlov, and let him in before sitting on the bench. The Mexican Millionaire began to speak to Kozlov.
Alberto Del Rio: What is wrong with me Vladimir?
Vladimir Kozlov: You’re arrogant, ignorant and egotistical. You’re more obsess with making money then you are making people actually like you. Your actions in the past are both spineless and despicable. You down talk everyone, even your own mother. You always make it very clear that you only care about you and how things benefit you…
Alberto Del Rio: That was a rhetorical question Kozlov…and don’t forget that without my money you would be skin and bones on the streets of this dump of a city.
Vladimir Kozlov: Sorry Mr. Del Rio…
Alberto Del Rio: You better count yourself lucky Kozlov. Everything is going downhill and it definitely doesn’t help with you and Rodriguez having your own issues. Seriously, if this screws me of a title then I might consider suspending you both…indefinitely. Now please…I would like to this promo by myself…
Just then another knock sounded from the door and after catching a glimpse at his employer Kozlov silently nodded. He then walked to the door and opened it to see Matt Striker and the cameraman behind him. The Soviet Cyborg didn’t say a thing as he went past Striker, probably to the catering area to get himself some coffee. The former teacher only shrugged and walked over to the Mexican, who just smiled smugly at him, before sitting next to him on the bench. The cameraman got into position and did his quiet countdown before signalling to the two that they can begin this interview.
Matt “Wishful Squire” Striker: Welcome everybody I’m Matt Striker, your teacher, and right now please welcome my honourable guest…the mighty Alberto Del Rio.
The male kept his arrogantly smug look as the man he calls a “Squire” said his name, while looking away. He then turned his head to look at the ex-teacher and then began to speak.
Alberto Del Rio: Nice introduction Squire…but I know that you ain’t just wasting my time just to say how amazing the Pyramid of Perfection is, since I already know the greatness that is me…the Essence of Excellence. So is there anything else you would like to say?
Matt “Wishful Squire” Striker: Yes, Mr. Del Rio. With Vendetta coming ever closer you and a debuting Dolph Ziggler will do battle against the “Asshole of Real Wrestling League” Mr Anderson and AJ Styles, who is also making his debut. With this match being a perfect stepping stone to prove who should face which title, what do you think of your opponents? And if you win this match while proving yourself worthy…which champion would you like to face? The Prime Time Champion, Matt Morgan, or the World Heavyweight Champion, Samoa Joe?
When the Squire said “AJ Styles” the almost trademark overconfident smile on Del Rio’s face has completely vanish and was replaced with an expression that perfectly explains his hidden frustrations. After hearing Matt’s “if you win” line Alberto felt disgusted and decide to express this very well.
Alberto Del Rio: “If” I win…“if”!?! Do you even know who you’re interviewing? I am Alberto Del Rio…the Pyramid of Perfection…the Essence of Excellence…the Bravest of the Brave…the man blessed with looks of a god and the only honest man in this company. I am partnering up with some dumb blonde kid that is so obsess with being like me that he calls himself “Perfection”. One of my opponents claims to be “Phenomenal” when truth be told the highlight of his career was being Ric Flair’s personal ass kisser. And his partner claims to be an utter “asshole”…
Matt “Wishful Squire” Striker: I didn’t mean to harm your ego Alb…
Alberto Del Rio: Don’t interrupt the meaning of intelligence when he’s talking. Mr Anderson might be a former World Champion here but the key word is “former”. He is a has-been now and if anything this Anderson should let those better then him, like me, soar before going back to college just to learn proper English. I am Mexican yet I speak better English then Ken…by calling himself an asshole Ken has shown to the entire world that his value is truly non better than an anus. And unlike him, I have the bigger thing to prove in this match…I need to defeat you tonight Anderson…destiny need me to break your arm and make you tap out Ken…
Matt “Wishful Squire” Striker: Erm Alberto…isn’t that a bit too ex…
Alberto Del Rio: You’re quite disloyal at the moment Squire and for your sake you better shut up. Another person that should never ever speak is that mentally constipated boy known as AJ Styles. Yeah he claims to be “Phenomenal” and was a World Champion where he was…but that place is nothing but a tiny spec of unimportance and your success there is only mediocre compare to how I, Wrestling Royalty, dominated Lucha Libre, Mixed Martial Arts and Mexico itself. Unfortunately for you Styles, your televised debut is against Alberto Del Rio…and I am in no good mood after the past week that I have suffered. So AJ, consider this not only the harshest thing you’ll ever suffer in your career…but also a message that it is not wise to upset the Essence of Excellence.
After saying that line the Mexican Millionaire expected something from Striker yet the ex-teacher wasn’t sure if it was smart to do so. So Alberto Del Rio began to speak up once more.
Alberto Del Rio: About that question you asked earlier…going for either the Prime Time Championship, the title that should already be mine, or the World Heavyweight Championship. Isn’t it obvious Squire? The Essence of Excellence is going to become the World Heavyweight Champion before the end of the year, but you already know that. I mean that title is almost like me…royalty. And that ghastly Samoa Joe is just a walking talking bowling ball that only say “Joe’s gonna kill you.” Morgan can’t fully be glad though since I have not given up my interest in becoming the longest reigning Prime Time Champion in history. So what will be the Bravest of the Brave’s decision over which glorious path to choose? I’ll let all those internet nerds speculate as much as they like about it. But before this interview is over I have a short message for Dolph Ziggler…I have done horrible things to people and if you cost me this match I will do horrible things to you. Other then that, you’re lucky you got a partner known as…Alberto Del Rio, the Essence of Excellence.
After saying those last few words that overconfident smug reappeared on Del Rio’s face a seconds before he did his own trademark wink to the camera. After doing his wink the Mexican Millionaire got up and exited the men’s public locker room, probably to meet up with Kozlov to discuss a game plan for this tag team match tomorrow. Meanwhile Matt Striker stood up, with a relief look on his face and exited the room with the cameraman shortly behind him…maybe to give the footage of this interview to the production truck.
